DRG hot take:
Scout is not a great beginner class and almost every person I've seen start with them gets an addiction to the movement.
When I play with new friends I try to get them to play anyone else first for the first promotion. Scout is very fun but the movement must be had as a treat or else the rest of the game feels off.
Although I'm sure it is possible to play scout first and not become an addict for movement I haven't seen it.
An Idea
So, recently I've both started DMing a DnD campaign, and started playing Deep Rock Galactic. And I have learned two things; One, Rock and Stone! and Two, I get too many ideas and my players should be worried. And as such, I got an idea. Which spiraled into more ideas. So now, in order to shake out my head and maybe flesh these ideas out, I'm gonna do a thing.
Introducing...
The Hoxxis Subterranean Bestiary
The Scottish Stone Dwarven Wyvern; An Introduction
The Hoxxis Subterranian Bestiary-Chapter 2
Scottish Stone Dwarven Wyverns may not be the apex predators or the most common monsters of the Hoxxis Caves, their biology, behavor, and overal pressence in Hoxxis have made the species the most notable of the caves. They are not on the small end of wyvern size, despite what their name suggests. Dwarven Wyverns have been named after dwarves from fantasy tales for their underground habitat, and their constant pursuit of minerals from the caves around their nests. One of their most interesting traits are their metamorphosis, and their diverse social structure.
Currently documented are a working “Miner” class made of four subclasses, and an upper managing class that commands a group of miners. A group of four mature Miner class wyverns, the collective being nicknamed 'Stone Dwarven Wyverns' periodically go out together on hunts, and while the species is omnivorous, these hunts are not specifically for food, but for the minerals the caves around them generate. Many of these minerals are unique to Hoxxis, though most seem to be offshoots of known materials. The specifics will be covered in later chapters.
Stone Dwarven Miners have evolved to be workers, all subsbeices sharing a clubbed tail that resembles a pickaxe, used for dislodging minerals from the walls, an unique wing structure that, while prohibiting flight, act like carrying bags to collect the minerals they mine, a bioluminescent crest on their head that acts as a personal light, and a set of scales they can break off to use as a light source. Almost paradoxically, the species appears to have no natural darkvision despite their habitat. Nonetheless, these beasts work as a unit to strip the caves free of any minerals they find.
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?!
okay have I just been completely engulfed in deep rock galactic here or does everyone on this site know about it?
Whenever I see or hear someone say rock, stone, dwarf, mushroom, gold, or we're rich, my gut reaction is to ROCK AND STONE!
*hasn’t touched deep rock galactic in months*
*hears someone say “rock and stone”*
*immediately puts on DRG shanties and boots the game up*
I have recently discovered that playing deep rock galactic while riding a dildo is the objectivly best way to play
Are... are we sure driller knows he is hired to mine? I am starting to suspect that he just thinks he is in some sort of wonderful heaven where he is provided with copious amounts of flamethrower fuel, C4 and living targets to use them on (Some with beards, some without)

Deep Rock Galactic - Regret Almost caught up with current comics. Around 10 to go.
Deep Rock Galactic - Help me!
I realize I actually enjoy drawing dwarfs
My biggest problem with DRG has nothing to do with the game at all. . . I just really want to make lore for my dwarf, and make dwarf character friends, and maybe even get my motivation to write back. . . and there is nobody out there to play toys with me. . . [Deep sigh]
It's always the games with the least incentive to build on. . .
Anyway, if you're into that, hit me up. Please. I need a permanent crew.
DRG gameplay channel where 4 members act in-character the entire time and are absent from future missions temporarily if they're down by the end of a match.
