Just saw a post regarding recognizing addiction within yourself with consistent drug use and they happened to include weed in this post. This is very crucial for you to understand. While cannabis has the ability to be addictive and abused, there are also lots of individuals who do rely on it vs other drugs. Cannabis is used for a wide range of ailments and can be the determining factor if someone can function that day. Medical cannabis and recreational cannabis can coexist as well. It's not abnormal if someone budgets for cannabis the same way they budget for food, because 1. that means they have enough money to purchase it and 2. if they are budgeting for it and not just choosing that over food or bills, that's called responsibility.
Cancer patients, individuals with ailments that cause inflammation, weakened bones, excessive pain, depression/anxiety/other mental health issues, appetite suppressant, appetite stimulant, nerve damage, mental clarity, etc. These are all ailments that cannabis can help with.
If you are not somebody who is educated on proper cannabis use and knowledge, it's not coming from an educated mind, so those words mean nothing. If someone has incorporated cannabis into their daily regimen ahead of pharmaceuticals or other drugs/alcohol, it is considered one of the safest options in today's age, so long as it has been regulated and tested. Stop treating cannabis like it's levels of addictive like cocaine or fentanyl. That is all.
I just don't like when people put weed on the same levels as drugs that could kill somebody for trying it for the first time. I'm open minded so of course I don't care if somebody "gets high" before an outing. Would you rather someone smoke some pot and be able to enjoy their outing, because now they have an appetite after their AM chemo treatment? Or what about somebody struggling with depression and suicidal ideology who smokes a bit and then can go out in the world, relaxed and carefree, "why was I even upset?" mentality? Or somebody who deals with chronic pain who can't get any help from doctors, who finally has found something both legal and regulated that helps them manage their pain to make their time spent going out enjoyable?
