I have this headcannon that Breakdown took off after the mandroid thing was over so ig this is if Bee confronted him b4 leaving. He thought things would be different this time, that Breakdown might actually stay. He was beyond hurt when he found out his friend was leaving him behind. Again.

Don't remember what song inspired this but I zoned out listening to music and this scene popped into my head, so I drew it and then wrote it ^^
Over and over he slammed Breakdown into the ground, screaming..almost begging out the words, “Why why, WHY?!” each time he’d lift Breakdown by his Chassis and push him into the concrete again.
Tears spilled over the ridge of his eyes, Words repeating.
Over and over. Breakdown had left him repeatedly over the decades they'd been on earth and more times than he could count on Cybertron. At least then he had something to blame, being on separate sides of the war was reason enough to not stick around. But now here on earth, though some Decepticons still roam, there is no war. Some measly battles sure, but there was no need to be on one side or the other. It wasn't just about survival anymore.
So when the battle with Mandroid was over and Breakdown came to say goodbye again Bee racked his brain to find some sensible reason as to why Breakdown would choose to run off with the few Decepticons with a thirst for war there were left.
Bee came to the realization that he couldn't blame the war or small quarrels they’d had with each other's sides anymore.
Breakdown was the problem.
He’d Decided once again to leave him. It’s like Breakdown couldn't stand him, like he couldn't bear to stick around for more than a week. Why..? Why?
“WHY CAN’T YOU JUST-”
Stay.
A firm pair of hands grasped his shoulders interrupting him, gently yet firmly pulling him up and away from Breakdown.
“Bumblebee!” A familiar voice rang through his audials.
Optimus stood towering over Bee, Sevros held tightly on Bee's shoulders.
“Breathe.” No doubt an order from the leader.
Bee sucked in a few ragged breaths, looking to his left he saw breakdown beginning to prop himself up on his elbows. Energon leaked from his mouth, repeated blows to the head will do that to a bot.
Breakdown blinked, peering up at the scout. “Bee…” He spoke weakly, desperately.
Bee squeezed his eyes shut and shook off Optimus’s sevros.
Turning his back to the scene he walked away.

When I first started on the production I knew Nightshade was going to be my favorite, so getting to work on their episode was a treat!
This was the first (and only) episode I was on where we had the voice recordings before we started boarding. That is, with the exception of Bumblebee and Alex. So you still get to enjoy SOME of my scratch audio!
The intro for this episode was reworked and streamlined to get the runtime down. Originally, it opened with Robby and Mo announcing to the Terrans that today was a "no school day" which meant no tutelage, only fun. Hearing this, Nightshade gleefully runs back into the barn trying to decide which scientific field they want to study! The other kids are baffled, but Robby shrugs, "we're just gonna have to show them how it's done." Cut to the opening title card, then we return to the story with everyone gathering in the pasture.
There were some design changes that happened after the fact, like the Smart Trainer and Nightshade's helmet. The dugout in particular got switched around, which impacted some of the staging in the final show. I feel ICON did a great job adjusting the shots to match the updated set!

This is some VERY old barn husbands doodle like I think around December 2022 so please don’t mind the old art style 😭😭 but I remember having the idea of drawing Earthspark Cade and Optimus,,,
because I feel like it would just be so. FUNNY to have the LEADER OF THE AUTOBOTS develop a huge crush on this AverageTM mechanic guy living about his life. Like he just sees him around Witwicky while scouting the area and gets so mesmerized, he crashes into a Tree. and Megatron starts taking notice and makes fun of him for it.
Imagine:
“You know, when you said you would ally with the humans I didn’t know it would’ve gone so far as to fall in lov-“
“SHUT THE FUCK UP”

“Maybe he would like you back.”
“No, he wouldn’t and besides, we have different lives, different jobs… it just wouldn’t work. He has a daughter and probably a wife so-“

Also like their first meeting could be the Terrans eventually get involved in something and end up in his backyard (he lives in the country side of witwicky, not in town) and he helps them. And when he helps them back home or something, Optimus sees him and like, Freezes before thanking him (poorly) (hes stuttering like hell) and Cade is like, “no problem! Yk, this might sound real corny but I’m a big fan of you and your team.” all sweet and embarrassed but OP is just like Freaking. Tf. Out. (Internally) LIKE!!!! imagine!!!!!
The Terrans have like no clue and think nothing of it but Dot looks up and Megatron and he just Nods, smiling. Bumblebee just has a midlife crisis thinking about how he might have a Dad2.
