Okay I know I was freaking out about how we're going on a WARP train n shit but like. I want the event to come quickly.
I don't really know whether this will be an NPC event like Blade Lineage or Sinner-focused like TKT and Christmas event. Most likely the former, but I just have like. A specific hope about this okay.
So we know what happened in Lovetown. We have a rundown-kinda of how the train works. We know what abominations might happen. My main curiosities are: 1. Dante; 2. Sinclair
Dante's time powers was elaborated on in TKT, and my curiosity is self-explanatory, since WARP trains' mechanics warp time (get it? Okay sorry) during its travels inside the alternate dimension world thingy. I'm pretty sure prosthetics are usually fine since I don't think W corp bans prosthetics or anything (Atleast I don't remember them banning it...). But Dante's powers are related to his prosthetics so like. Will it be affected? Will the "bond" of the sinners' time be affected? Will they be affected? Will Dante's powers work in the train? Will he retain his memories if his clock head gets damaged at any point? I just have so many questions and PM leaving me (us) on a cliffhanger hurts(?) me...
Anyways point 2: Sinclair. We all know Canto IV is the first "real" Canto, so to speak. Gregor and Rodya's were clearly too short and just felt like mood-setters than anything, and Sinclair's is the closest we got to an actual one at launch. And also the (kind of) first Mili song we got. But the thing is. Sinclair didn't really get much of his moment. Kromer got killed by Demian. He still hasn't fully come to terms/move on with his past. We all know he's pretty much traumatized by things that overly "fleshy", so to speak. So now I really want him, like Rodya, to get some contemplation too. And who knows. If some fleshy abominations happen, I want to get more Sinclair content. Hell, draw a few parallels between Sinclair and this time's boss like TR and Rodya. Have it have prosthetics or smth but still be a fleshy mass. I'm just curious how he'll react to all this. I know any character development probably get reset since that's just how WARP trains are engineered to be, but this just circles back to Dante since they're bound to his time.

Still BTS related but having a break from the boys. I found myself experimenting again with softer palette and waterbrush.
I read the novel pretty hurriedly because I was still on family business (a bad idea, for real) and skimming some sentences, so pardon me for inaccuracies on my depiction of Demian and Sinclair here. But in fact no matter what the descriptions are I can’t help but keep imagining these two exactly like how I drew them in this piece! :’)
The faces, haircolors, skintones, and the outfits (perhaps I should have draw them in the same uniform but my imagination is stubborn enough) is a perfect depiction of them in my head and I’m so satisfied with this work. I was about to draw Abraxas behind them but in the end I chose for a simple book cover-ish designs. Also I scraped off the idea of drawing their forehead signs. I like them looking like normal human just like how they are in the earlier chapters. Even until now I do relate the most to Sinclair, and I hope that somehow I will be able to have a meeting with my own Demian (and his mother), perhaps with different adventures. It’s always nice to meet someone who is your “kind”, right?
Sinners as programs:
Yi Sang – Cortana/Siri/similar “AI”-that-follows-specific-rules programs. I don’t think poetry generators exist.
Faust – Any calculator game. Look. I love girlfail Faust as much as the next person, but she would be a calculator.
Don Quixote – Shimeji. Ok that’s the post.
Ryoshu – Either comedic malware like Reisenware, actual malware, or mspaint.
Meursault – Windows explorer/non-windows equivalent. He is your file explorer.
Hong Lu – Any digital pet, OR he is a collection of PNGs kept solely on your second monitor for a digital pet rock. I don’t know how to explain this one.
Heathcliff – It’d be far too easy (and a misinterpretation) to go with the malware route. Heathcliff has game engine energy and I am specifically referring to Ren’Py. he’s a Visual Novel engine.
Ishmael – Ishmael is specifically placid plastic duck simulator. No, but actually, Ishmael is any casual game like stardew valley or minecraft. she is never subnautica.
Rodya – Rodya is one of those email websites that boomers adore ❤️ /pos
Sinclair – Sinclair is a book library, like a kindle fire type thing.
Dante – Too easy to say a clock. Dante is an emulator.
Outis – Too easy to say a Trojan virus. She’s honestly a scheduling app.
Gregor – Again, far too easy to say malware (because bugs, get it? I’ll see myself out). He’s notepad.
Bonus:
Charon – An email that glitched out and was sent in like 1786 or whatever the earliest year a computer can claim
Vergilius – Far too easy to say tasque task manager. He’s an antivirus. Scares the viruses into not doing that shit.
Erlking(?) Heathcliff – Yeah he’s malware. He infects your computer, and spreads to other computers.
