Empath Problems - Tumblr Posts
I'm so sick of having a friend who makes me feel like I'm always the second choice. They claim that they love me and our mutual friend equally, but it's clear they prefer the other friend. :(
Think it's time for this duck to start working on setting boundaries and distancing themself from toxic friends. I've had far too many wake up calls, nows the time for action.
Mod// I love this so much. What people go through throughout their lives dictates the kind of person they’ll be in the future, I believe.
I was actually telling a friend this before, but what one person thinks is ‘not that bad’ in someone’s life could just be the very thing that shatters their whole world. The thing that pushes them off the edge.
As an empath, I find it easy to step in people’s shoes and FEEL their pain. I feel it in my chest, in my head… Which requires me to step back and take control of my own emotions once I’ve helped someone out.
My friends are always bagging on me because I'm a Naruto fan, like it's a kids show and I'm too old to be posting about Naruto but I gotta say, I don't know how Obito ended all his victims. Imagine the absolute dregs of psychosis he had to plummet to to achieve his vision. I mean yeah child soldiers brainwashed to serve for their villages their leaders, esp w/the Uchihas they hold high standards. Obviously this is fiction but there's an element of fiction where you either stare too deeply, or you take a step back and think, this is where human nature collides. I can't relate to Obito, not really. Sure I feel his hate, his absolute rage, his thirst for power, these things exist in some measure in all of us. But to scale the lengths he did. I can't even bring myself not to have a mental breakdown when my friends have issues, but Obito struts into police headquarters and slaughters dozens of victims, then struts back out. He starts a war. He feels no remorse until the end. Cannot relate but I absolutely can. It's why I find him *one* of the most compelling characters, and love picking apart his brain. He's so dehumanizing to me and fascinating and a big red warning flag.
