forever saying thank you to Erin Morgenstern for this soul read in The Starless Sea:
“he doesn’t say what he is thinking which is that his church is held-breath story listening and late-night-concert ear-ringing rapture and perfect-boss fight-button pressing. That his religion is buttered in the silence of freshly fallen snow, in a carefully crafted cocktail, in between the pages of a book somewhere after the beginning but before the end.”
I was so inspired to make some collages for my three favs after finishing The Starless Sea ~

While reading The Night Circus I noticed something.
The book has a plot, but it’s so twisty and ever-changing that it’s impossible to actually grasp, like the circus itself.
Every time I’ve tried to figure it out, something new pops out, like Celia and Marco’s tent, and I think it just adds to the magic of the book.
I desperately need a night circus/desperado podcast nova circus crossover
But the world is strange and endings are not truly endings no matter how the stars might wish it so.

Do you ever start reading a book but you don't want to continue reading it, not because it's bad, but because it's so good you know you'll never get over it after it ends??
"and the night circus is such a gorgeous reminder of reading books as a child not to finish them but to live in their world"
the night circus is the first book in a very very long time that i find i don't want to end. i only have 50 pages left but i want 500 more.
