been thinking about this more, and she moved out immediately, didn't she? cause when the second game started, she was about 14 or 15 when joel had come back with tommy, right? so it had to have been immediate. that hurts, man. I wonder if she was thinking about that on the way back from the hospital :( like, we obviously don't know how immediate it was, so it could've been immediately after getting back :( if she did it to get some space from joel, she could've had tommy help her make the garage live-able, though. again, he did construction, he could've helped fix it up instead of joel. I keep forgetting how quickly she moved out/in, I keep thinking it was around 18/19 and that one makes sense. she probably wants to feel like a normal kid, so moving out around that age would make sense. but she didn't. she moved out at like 15? I think it was just to get away from joel :(

and mmmmm I have Many A Thought. it makes sense for her to move out to that garage so she can be more independent / kinda get away from joel / get some soace from him, but the fact it's not finished is what deals me in :( like, joel is a contractor, he could've fixed it! that is your daughter, sir! fix it! please! I think that's really my biggest thing about it, like, it makes sense (and the fact joel can see when she gets home from one of the windows in his house? more devastation), but it is not finished. we know jackson can do construction-y things, I'm sure that could've been dealt with, y'know?
