Yeah. The people who say they aren’t discriminated against anymore are so wrong. Sure, I mean. People have started recognizing equality. Doesn’t mean that everyone treats everyone equally.
"Oh, but LGBTQ+ people aren't discriminated against anymore. Why are you advocating for people who are already treated equally?"

I don't want to live in a world where my own father refuses to use my preferred pronouns because it's against his beliefs.
I don't want to live in a world where a child whispers in my ear, "did you know he's gay?" because he's been taught is that gay people aren't normal and should be shamed.
I don't want to live in a world where people are legally allowed to verbally abuse me because of my gender and sexual orientation.
I don't want to live in a world where I'm scared of telling my teachers my gender identity because they might cause me to fail their class, even though I am an honors student who has gotten all A's.
I don't want to live in a world where I constantly hear news stories of people just like me being assaulted or even killed just because of their identity.
I don't want to live in a world where I'm discouraged from coming out because my mom tells me my friends' parents might not let them hang out with me anymore.
I don't want to live in a world where I'm forced to wear outfits I don't feel comfortable wearing because the people around me refuse to understand my discomfort.
I don't want to live in a world where people stare at me when I shop in the men's section, just because I look female.
I don't want to live in a world where my own mom thinks I might change my pronouns and gender identity, so she hesitates before using them with other people.
I don't want to live in a world where people hurry out of the women's restroom when they see me in a t-shirt supporting LGBT+ people.
These have all happened to me.
I've been through all this discrimination, even at the age of 14.
And this is why I am advocating for equality.
