Fahrenheit - Tumblr Posts
Controversial opinion: Fahrenheit’s inherently better as a way to measure temperature (specifically in meteorological matters).
Not only does Fahrenheit give you more of a gradient to measure temperature (and allows for rounding of like, 70s, 80s, 90s), it’s like a percentage scale. 0% is really cold, 100% is really hot, 69% is just right, and that generally covers the range of average temperature variations on Earth. Whereas like, in Celsius, 0 to 100 is -17 to 38 degrees.
I’ve had like, Canadians tell me like “but Fahrenheit doesn’t make any sense! Water freezes at 32 and boils at 212, while in Celsius, water freezes at 0 and boils at 100!” Okay??? I want to know how cold it is for me, not how cold it is for water ?? Water’s not the one who needs to determine if they need to bring a jacket to work today or not.
Disclaimer: I do believe Celsius is still better for like, scientific purposes. And the rest of the metric system > US imperial system. But Fahrenheit,, 😤
This looks like a task for Steve Mould:
Since, in true Celtic fashion, I’m gonna start saying “it’s too hot” today, here’s the perfect poll…
Reblog & put your answers in the tags because I’m curious and need to know I’m not suffering alone
using both fahrenheit and celsius to determine temperature is wild because you’ll be thinking in one measurement unit and someone will say some alarming number and then you calm down when you realize they meant they’re baking their recipe at 350° fahrenheit

The Autograph Part 2-7
To wrap up we have the rest of the sketches for the little comic for @chrystallink, featuring her chars Clysmia, Blake, Cider, and Fahrenheit. Hailey and Dia's persona are also featured in line on the third (second here) page, and the latter a little bit on page 6 (image 5), but they're hard to see. And of course, my joke char Bob the Faceless Gaunto. XD
