Sam and Jack Ship Day 2020! ❤️

It’s almost that time of year again and we’re calling for artists, vidders, writers and your shippy muses! That’s right – 28 July is a special day within the Stargate fandom… it’s Ship Day!

For those who don’t know, or are new to the fandom (hello!), Ship Day is the annual celebration of the first airing of Divide & Conquer; the episode in which Sam and Jack were forced to admit they had feelings for each other.

This year, a few of us have come together once again and created another list of prompts to spark your inspiration and let shippers’ imaginations go wild! All formats are welcome as long as the content is shippy, and whatever you create can be shared on the archive of your choice, using the #samjackshipday hashtag and we’ll make sure it is added to the master list over on the GateWorld forum.

The prompts I’ve shared in the attached graphic are not exclusive. You can try as many or as few as you wish, or you may have another idea entirely for a fic or some art.

So, according to this, Sam’s Mom’s name was Debra. I’m trying to recall if that was ever mentioned in the show or if it’s one of fandoms weird adopted facts. Anyone remember?

Plus, how many times did Sam use Goa’uld tech that everyone can think of? It’s been 10+ years since I watched it (in the early stages of a rewatch now!) but I can only think of two occasions off the top of my head (‘Seth’ and Fair Game’)
