Wouldn’t it be fucked up if Belos took feather’s from each of the previous golden guards and put them as ornaments above his thrown in, what he calls a memorial, but whenever Hunter doesn’t do what Belos likes he not so subtly gestures makes comments about how good itd look with a new feather added. Darius ends up stealing the one that belonged to the previous golden guard and burning it on top of the knee as a sort of memorial to his mentor and what he sees as setting his soul rest. PA

I think they'd take all the feathers and burn them at some point, to remember the fallen and all that. Darius definitely took the liberty of burning his mentors himself, though. I wonder if they'd set fire to the feathers and then, like, toss them into the air to blow away as they burn to ash. a sort of last-token act of freedom that they never got
