i blew out the candles on my birthday cake the candle goes out i threw the rock in the water and wished for love i looked back at it and only saw my reflection i dreamt i knew you in another life i looked at you with forlorn eyes i opened them and you were gone but my eyes still had the same longing

but a lack of love just leads to more knowledge i'm grateful, for knowing knowing that the kindness of others is another joke knowing that safety is an illusion of the mind knowing everything, yet nothing, all the time

and i wonder if when i dream, dream about love, wish about love, hear about love, find people I yearn to love, is it all some sign? people say no person can make you love yourself. but I love myself, i've tried so hard to love myself, but it doesn't make a difference, love will come, love will come. but when? when will my wish become more then a dream, when will my dream become more than a hope, when will the larvae of my hope flourish into a beautiful butterfly, am I stuck in an eternal cocoon? or is the love for what I do all I need?
