The Village People's "YMCA" in their movie "Can't stop the Music" from 1980, this movie and "Xanadu" are the reason why we have the Golden Raspberry Awards.
Written in 1921, "Das Lila Lied" or "The Lavender Song" was one of the first gay anthems ever recorded. It was an immensely popular cabaret song in Weimar Berlin.
Largely forgotten for many decades, it has seen a major resurgence in recent years thanks to a modern re-recording in both English and German by artist Ute Lemper.

Me and him both listen to the same music artist "Dixon Dallas/Jake Hill/ur pretty" and he comes in my room with these stupid references to the songs we listen to and it makes me laugh even tho it's dumb
Today, he came in my room holding two candles
It was a reference to the song "Something to feel" by "ur pretty", specifically the line
"I'll go grab a couple candles, you grab me by the throat
nothing I can't handle, it's just a little choke"
