Geneuary Day Two: Family/Alternate Universe

I immediately came up with the idea to interpret this prompt by drawing Gene and Louise as Phineas and Ferb, mainly because that was one of my absolute favorite shows as a kid (and it still is). And I got this idea partially to celebrate the fact that the show is officially coming back with new episodes 🥳

Day 2 of Geneuary Family/ AU

Just Gene and his sisters hanging out in the living room. I chose a more golden tone for this because it seemed nostalgic. I just imagine them hanging out in the living room in the late summer twilight after a day at the restaurant, clinging desperately to whatever time they have left together before Tina goes to high school in the fall.

And here it is Genuary Prompt Family and Alternative Universe. People you don't know how happy I'm with how this turn. This is what I mean when I say sometimes I get bless by the drawing gods.

You already knew about this one so I hope there wasn't much expectation, cause even if I'm proud I know is not perfect and could be better. But Im really happy I swear.

Y comenzamos con las ilegalidades. This is a little out of the rules cause I don't know if Genie's really the main focus, in my defense I got distracted.

This is a heavily reference to the episode "Sliding Bobs" from season 6 (one of my favs seasons) and well I got over carried with the dynamics between all the characters XD

I hope you can still enjoy my baby boy (and yes in this alternative universe Gene is a cis boy, the horror, oh and Tina is ace)

And why does he have that face? He's experimenting every multiverse at once. He's seeing different universes with thousand of version of himself, one is a genderfluid musician, other is Bruce Willis in that movie, one is a butler and another one is him with wieners for fingers. So yeah he's having a blast.

Oh and I don't know if the joke is right, I tried to say he is a sad wiener I didn't want to use the word hot dog one cause is long and two for the wiener a.k.a penis joke. I know Gene would like it.

Day 11 of Geneuary: alternate universe! So tapped into @egosarchive 's adventure time au, and here's Gene the Dog (sorta LOL)

Little shorter today but hopefully enjoyable nonetheless!

Day 3 of Geneuary - Sleepover / Jealousy

I went with sleepover because I've always thought Gene would love a sleepover if it was more like Louise's and at his apartment playing dress up. I realized too late they should probably be wearing jammies.

Geneuary Day Three: Slumber Party/Jealousy

This piece was definitely inspired by the episode Slumber Party (I knew I just had to take inspiration from there, it was too perfect) and how Louise got a Slumber Party which Gene enjoyed a whole lot more than she did (Linda had to tell him to give someone else a turn during the fashion show) so he's a bit jealous about that.

Geneuary Slumber Party / Jealousy

And the jealousy part? Gene is messing with Courtney from when she tried to make her jealous with Alex, and Gene got jealous yeah but not for Courtney exactly XD

I LOVE "Roller? I Hardly Know Her!" I pray for another episode like that one every day 🛐

This is barely an homage to my first work that I ever posted here, the one who started it all. You know which one Im talking about 😉

Oh and by the way the party is in Courtney's house cause I wanted a pink room and Gene's room is not pink and I could swear we have never seen Courtney's room so I could lie and say is pink. And heavily inspired in Tina's room, I think both girls are very into pink and boys so it makes sense. I wish I had added more musical things but I was struggling so here it is. End of the room chat.

Turns out I misread the Geneuary prompts and yesterday's prompt was actually slumber PARTY but I thought they were two separate prompts rip

So, for Geneuary Day 13, have a tiny sing song Gene! I may do another mobile doodle over it as I've been enjoying doing that over these tiny Genes that I can't colour with my poscas

Geneuary Day Three: Slumber Party/Jealousy

I sent @bluebirbbs a Comm idea to draw my lovely, precious children (Gene and my OC, Alexis) in cute lil’ pajamas having some fun during a lil’ slumber party. Well, this might be a bit of spoiler, but she outdid herself and sent me a few different sketch ideas for me to choose from, and all of them were just too cute!! I can’t wait to reveal the finished product (and reveal which sketch I chose).

I couldn't end this drawing, and Im really sorry. I was trying new things (really thats a problem I had is very serious) So yeah, I was planning on not posting anything but my sister said, "Nah it doesn't look that bad" And I made the promesed to Gene that I would post everyday. So... yeah...😐

Like said not finish I could render some things, it was the bg that suffered the most. but yeah... THis is really embarrasing XD

Oh and why Sunflowers if the prompt is Sunshine/Rainbow? Cause Gene is the sunshine... and think about it SUNshine SUNflower... in my head made sense. And I was planing on putting the rainbow on the bg but...yeah 😶

Oh and the aesthetic specially the colors are inspired in Van Gogh cause well... I love Van Gogh XD is defenetly one of my favorite painters/artist I always admire their paintings and dunno though of them on this one.

Day 4 of Geneuary Sunshine / Rainbow

I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to draw Gene’s rainbow cape. Because, um, yeah, he is definitely LGBTQ+ in some way shape or form.

Geneuary Day Four: Sunshine/Rainbow

Oh my goshhh, when did we get to Day Four of Geneuary already?? I don’t think I’ll be able to recover once it’s over, I’ll be so sad 😭 But at least I’ve still got my birthday in February to look forward to, and then See More Seymour’s Bay week in early March.

Anyway, have Gene in a super huge, complicated, and colorful dress that I like to think Alexis designed for him. I really wanted to go for an almost abstract, painterly style for this piece.

Geneuary Day Five: Sunshine/Rainbow

@bluebirbbs surprised me last night with my finished Comm and I just--it's too cute, look at them!! I have no words, I'm in awe 😭❣️

The Mickey pajama shirt was because of DT, and it's something I'm incorporating into Alexis' design in just about everything from now on. The penguin pajamas were inspired by my best friend, Matilda, and the fact that her favorite animals are penguins (I can't blame her, they're so flipping cute). They were also inspired by this adorable LGBTQ+ couple on YouTube named Matthew and Paul, and Paul wrote an adorable children's book called The Pengrooms (his passion is art despite being blind, which is very inspiring). The two of them also got some penguin plushies made, and they're so cute!!

I'm not fully participating in Geneuary but this prompt just sounded SO good, I just had to do it bcs like...I love rainbows!😁. This is inspired by those rainbow powder photoshoots...you're familiar with those right?

Geneuary Day Five: Mermaid/Magical

Happy Day Five of Geneuary!! I can’t believe we’re halfway done already!! I already shared the sketch of this earlier, while I was still sick, but now I get to show off the finished piece!! I decided to do a painterly style for this piece like the last one, except this time I used a watercolor brush. You can tell how crazy I went with the colors, pffffft.

This idea came about because I like to think Gene would’ve loved dressing up as a mermaid when he was younger. It always gave him such gender euphoria ☺️ And one of his favorite movies growing up was definitely Disney’s The Little Mermaid. And he definitely bonded over Rudy with this and they sang Part of Your World together (@ratguy-nico came up with that particular headcanon because of Rudy’s love of his stuffed flounder, Pancake!!)
