How'd She Come About? Why Was She Made?
Just some more things about Magnolia.
Plan on riding out this FNAF: SB wave until I fizzle out of it again and/or until the DLC comes out in prolly a year or so, lol
"How'd she come about? Why was she made?"
"Magnolia Moth" is a child's entertainer and is made for the purpose of keeping the attention of large groups of people: small families, large - scale parties, student trips & more! To accomplish this and extend the Fazbear franchise, Magnolia was manufactured.
"What's her attraction?"
"A Midnight Walk" is a walk-through, interactive attraction that showcases a museum of insects --including a flurry of moths and butterflies. There is a small rest area just beyond the on-foot attraction, and beyond that -- the theatre for the lightshow. There is a bigger, finely designed loungeroom at the exit.
"Who is Gregory to her?"
(HC style-time~!)
- As far as Gregory goes --
- Magnolia cares for Gregory, much like Freddy. She is excited to interact with a kid one-on-one, as she usually doesn't get the chance. Also, given that she did come after the events of SB, she wasn't affected by Vanny's hack.
- S/N: She's also very intrigued by Freddy and Gregory's relationship.
"Who are her enemies?"
- Frankly, she & Roxanne may not get along too well
- Montgomery, too
- Even though those two try to be nice, they're just too rowdy for a little moth like Magnolia
- Indifferent towards Moon. Doesn't "dislike" him per see, but his eyes glow in such a way that attracts her --yet she feels unwelcomed by him, as he is quite aggressive towards her if she touches him. She much prefers Sun. Some days, Moon can be nicer, though.
- She (Magnolia) is VERY hostile towards the "shadow bunny" (which is Vanny, whom can only be seen by Magnolia via bent light in her wings)
- Magnolia is mainly hostile to Vanny because she realized the bunny had strange desires
*Magnolia's comments on other animatronics/characters*
(About Moon & Sun) -- "I like the yellow Daycare Attendant. I just really wish the same could be said regarding the blue one. Or, the blue... side? I am still unsure of whether or not the yellow and blue Daycare Attendants are separate or one & the same."
(About Vanny) -- "I like many bunny-rabbits, but not that one. She is very odd and uncanny. I do not know how to feel about her, but she must not be kind."
(About Gregory & Freddy) -- "Gregory is a very rambunctious child who says the most darnest of things. Sometimes, I wonder what goes through his head just before he says such things?
He tells me of a dangerous series of encounters he has had with the majority of the Glamrock band and "Vanny" herself. Miraculously, he has persevered, and I praise him for that. Miraculously, Glamrock Freddy Fazbear has helped the boy ever since. I often wonder why --was his code not bugged somehow?
Either way, I could remain idle and indifferent. But, Vanny is attempting to alter my systems, and I do not like a single thing about that.
I feel like helping Gregory and Freddy instead."
Choice
OCs of mine from an abandoned story called… whelp, "Your Story." I think it was a working title tbh, lol, as I really didn't know what exactly I wanted from these OCs. They came about in the weirdest way possible, too…
It began with just one character --LaDonna, the woman under "control." She was initially this like… sort of like Magiciany type of character? She began as a MHA/BNHA OC (hilariously enough), and she was supposed to work as some sort of chaotic outside entity whose nefarious affairs with low and high-brow criminals alike became entangled with the ongoing conflict between the LoV, the Hero Academy, and their own coexisting forces. I could never quite decide if I wanted her to be a villain or a hero, a mysterious outside asset to the League or a similar figure to the students of U.A. Sometimes I imagined her as an enemy and other times a literal MENTOR to the U.A. students lol --especially Deku, I think. But at the same time, she also was HEAVILY inspired by both Resident Evil 8: Village and (this is a SUPER ODD ingredient to the equation, but bear with me!) Disney's Encanto.
Lemme start with the RE8 influences...
Resident Evil 8: Village
So, I'd just got done playing through all of RE8 around 2021-2, including watching a BUNCH of playthroughs. Like a lot of other people, I think, I ended up being HEAVILY invested in the Dimitrescu Household! I literally loved (and lowkey STILL LOVE) just about EVERYTHING regarding this fictional family! I found Lady Dimitrescu to be beautiful and admirable (even though she's canonically a villain lol); I love the concept of her daughters; I absolutely ADORE the big, beautiful house they live in and the riches they adorn; to that extent, the luxurious lifestyle they live altogether is definitely one to both envy and be in awe of. I literally love EVERYTHING about this family, so LaDonna embodies a LOT of attributes from the Dimitrescus.
Her appearance, I feel like, has the most obvious traits adopted from Lady Dimitrescu's design. The big, dipping hat is probably the most evident LOL. I loved the sort of early 1900s-esque vibe Dimitrescu had going on, and so I did my best to apply that to LaDonna. Similarly to the Dimitrescus, I imagined LaDonna to come from old money, so I included modern clothing items that I felt were still callbacks to vintage wear, such as LaDonna's relatively signature shawl and occasional pearls.
I couldn't imagine LaDonna having any more than perhaps one daughter, so from here birthed two other aspects of this OC: (1) she now had a single adult daughter and a late husband, contrary to Dimitrescu who is a whole lesbian with daughters made of bugs; (2) filling in the "space" of the three Dimitrescu daughters resulted in the creation of LaDonna's three sisters --originally all adult women, Conciella, October, and Casper.
Encanto
That said, LaDonna and her sisters underwent another major change as I became a little infatuated wth Encanto (and honestly, who wasn't??). At this point, I ended up really associating Conciella with Mirabel --I guess because I began envisioning them as having similar personalities and insecurities somehow. This resulted in an age change, and LaDonna, October, and Casper essentially became equivalent to Isabella and Luisa as well as the Dimitrescu daughters, even though role-wise, LaDonna still very much operates as a Lady Dimitrescu/Abuela sort of character (hence her label being "control").
Filling in the "blanks" of the other family members is also how I ended up developing majority of the other siblings --the middle children and triplets: Izaak, Hakeem, and LeMarcus --and the younger, mischevious boy child, LeMonte, and the addition of a baby: Fiona because... why not? LOL, this family's already big as it is, might as well keep going!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of the other siblings mentioned aren't depicted in this picture --namely: October, Casper, and Fiona. A lot of LaDonna's family altogether isn't here --I actually ended up making a google doc with like... just about ALL of the family members and their offsprings and bits and pieces of their iterrelating stories! There are literally over 50 damn individuals of the family that I planned out and characterized like Boo Boo the Fool! lol...
Well, I think that's all I got to say about this family rn??? This post got super long!!
Finna upload this now while I remember to do so... lol.

Have you ever had an experience as an artist/writer where it's like... the characters and the scenario(s) you've made take root as fanart, but somehow naturally diverge into it's own universe? I have this experience often.
In the case of this collection of drawings here, it began as an OC x Canon kind of thing. I've been replaying Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and a few weeks prior to my decision to replay the game, I’d grown an obsession over the character Chihiro. I couldn’t really say why at first, I just knew that for whatever reason, Chihiro fascinated me. I became so interested in Danganronpa all over again at the time that I wrote a creative critique on it!
Naturally, with Danganronpa on my mind so much, I eventually came to a conclusion: perhaps the reason I’m so invested in Danganronpa, and especially Chihiro, all of a sudden is because I recognized that it was a story that could’ve done even more, if only it were given that chance.
I feel like Danganronpa is one of those story franchises where some aspects of the narrative get beaten like a dead horse and other aspects hardly get touched. The latter applies a lot to the characters of Dangan, I feel like. Like, there are some characters with storylines that I feel like could’ve greatly benefitted the series and further established its popularity if only those side stories got told. And to bring it home, I feel like Chihiro has one of those stories.
Without spoiling, it’s like… there’s just so much more I want to know about Chihiro. Why did they do what they did (and even though I know the canonical answer, it’s still like… ok but, why though??)? What did that look like for them in their day-to-day life before Hope’s Peak Academy?? What did their parents have to say about it?? What was their relationship like with their mom, their dad? Did Mondo and Leon know all along prior to Hope’s Peak Academy? Most of all, I guess I just really wanted to know what Chihiro would have become if they got to live in their truth and set forth accomplishing their goals, even if just for a little bit longer than the time they were given?? It almost feels like… a missed opportunity, basically. At least in my opinion, IDK.
And so to wrap this up, as I began imagining in my head an alternate timeline set in the future with a slight rearrangement of survivors, I ended up creating a concept of who I thought a 26ish Chihiro would be/look like. Though, as one can probably guess, the kind of character I imagined strayed from the kind of person Chihiro claimed they wanted to be when they grew up. High key, this character now feels a lot more like an OC… which I don’t necessarily hate, but like… idk what to do with them now, lol.
I ended up developing a second OC alongside them, as you can see. I imagine her as the (Former?) Ultimate Urban Planner, hence her fawning over the diorama of Hope’s Peak Academy and its surrounding area. You can also see I kept Yasuhiro in there, lol, but I did kinda reimagine him as blasian. It just makes him having locs make more sense to me, haha.
So… yeah. Guess I just wanted to share this.
