This is Ahmed. He is a pharmacist. He used to have a pharmacy in a building in which he lived with his wife, also a pharmacist, and his 6 children. That was before it was bombed. Now he works out of a tent trying to help those who cannot get medical assistance from the overwhelmed field hospitals.
Ahmed is doing the best he can, but he wants to do more. With enough small contributions from pharmacists and those of us who know the importance of a pharmacy, Ahmed could help more people, starting with himself. He would no longer have to sleep in his tent pharmacy, separated from his family, to safeguard the medicines. He would be able to rent a space in one of the buildings that is still standing, minimally furnish it, bring his family to live with him there, acquire medicines and medical equipment, and help more people who are in desperate need of what Ahmed can provide as a pharmacist.
There are so many tragic stories and fundraising campaigns for people in Gaza. This one is yet another, but it is different because what you give will have a ripple effect. You are helping someone who is trying to help others. That is Ahmed. That is why he became a pharmacist. If you are a pharmacist or if you have ever been helped by a pharmacist or pharmacy, then you understand.
Through your donation, you directly impact Ahmed and those he helps in Gaza. Right now this is one of the most important ways any of us can ease some of their suffering.

@wafaaresh reached out for help boosting her new campaign
Wafa has started this campaign to raise funds her her family's evacuation. The funds will cover evacuation costs for her, her parents, her siblings (6 brothers and 5 sisters), and her siblings' children. The money will also help afford necessities and medical treatment for her family.
Wafa had graduated from university and dreamed of traveling, but her ambitions have all been destroyed. She and her family have also lost their stores and home, both destroyed by the Israeli occupation, leaving them without income and proper shelter for these past 9 months.
Her family has been displaced more than 10 times since the genocide began. They are without access to food or drinking water, and many members of her family are suffering from hepatitis and malnutrition.
Her mother suffers from chronic hypertension, needs daily blood pressure medication, and needs surgery for varicose veins in her leg. Wafa and her family cannot afford her medication or surgery at this time.
Wafa's gfm and her account are new, and I wasn't able to find any verification for her so I talked with her to try and verify her campaign. She gave me the information I have restated here, and I'd like to include the photos she sent me as well.
This is Wafa's little sister, Sara (the girl pictured in the cover of the gfm) with their brother, Mohamud, and his son, Abood. The photo was taken in their house. You can see more of Wafa's house in this post. The background of the photo matches the home shown in the video.
The next photos are of Wafa's younger brother, Mohiy. He had an operation on May 20th, 2024 for a a gallbladder operation to treat his hepatitis and severe pancreatitis. She has told me he has recovered from the pain he was suffering from and that he is in a better condition. Here are the photos she gave me of him. The first is before Oct. 7th and the second is after his operation.

Education, which was young Tulin's passion, now seems like a distant memory, as there is no school, no home, and no safe place. The war has forced us to abandon our dreams and our work. Life as we knew it has stopped, swallowed up by a sea of uncertainty, loss and despair
• My daughter Tulane is a radiant ray of sunshine, bringing joy, warmth and boundless love to everyone she meets. She has been through many health ailments.
• My middle daughter, Wateen, who is five years old, suffered a broken leg as a result of escaping during the aggression against the area surrounding us. Wateen suffers from osteomalacia and poor growth. I hope that this incident will not be repeated and that I will not see anything bad about it
• This is our house, full of our memories and moments of joy and happiness, which has now turned into ruins. His destruction

Despite the darkness that surrounds us, a ray of hope appears in our hearts - a longing to seek refuge in the embrace of safety, and to find solace in a land untouched by the scourges of war. Egypt beckons to us as a beacon of hope, promising safe haven and the opportunity to rebuild our shattered lives. However, the path to freedom is fraught with obstacles, and we are unable to afford the journey that might lead us to a new beginning.
My family and I are looking forward to evacuating to Egypt, but as you know, a lot of money is needed to pay for the coordination costs in order to cross the border, and we still need money to get the total amount required so that we can travel.
With each passing day, our burdens grow heavier, and our pleas for help become more urgent. We long for the warmth of a safe haven, an opportunity to regain what we have lost and forge a path to a brighter future
My family and I are about to embark on this journey of hope, but we cannot do it alone. Our situation is dire, and we need your support to rebuild our lives and provide a future for our children. Hello, my name is Iman, a mother of five children, the oldest is 15 years old and the youngest is two. I live with my family in northern Gaza. Our life has turned into a battlefield. We lost our home and were forced to flee and escape with our lives. We have been displaced eight times, moving from one school to another, and we are now living a life of homelessness and hunger. Even clean water is unavailable 💔😭. My children are suffering from starvation and malnutrition, going to bed hungry every day. I cry for my little daughter, who is two years old, when she asks for milk, which we don't have, and her frail body survives only on flour and stale bread. She has been deprived of everything. My children long for vegetables, meat, and fruit, which we haven't had in 11 months since the war began. Our bodies have been worn down, our bones are brittle, and my son Mohamed's chest bones are now protruding along with his spine. His body is covered in scabies due to a lack of cleanliness and the absence of medicine. Our bodies are swollen from the intense heat as we live with 40 people crammed into a small classroom filled with displaced people. My children have been deprived of education, even though they are all excellent students. On top of everything, there's constant bombing, fear, and hunger every day 🥺. This is why I am reaching out, as I have no income to provide for their basic needs as we try to rebuild our lives.
Your donations will be the lifeline for my children, offering them a chance to survive and live through these difficult and harsh conditions. Even a very small contribution will make a difference in their lives. Every dollar counts in helping them through this crisis.
