Yeah I started another one:
The Prince of Southland
A WEBTOON by Chris Geroux
Some of my favorite WEBTOONs are the ones that get you invested immediately. Don’t get me wrong, I’m always willing to stick with a WEBTOON that doesn’t grab me right away, but it’s just so good when they do. This one, this one grabs you and pulls you into the deep so fast. I mean after two episodes I was already incredibly invested in the characters and events. I haven’t finished it/ caught up yet, so I can’t say much, but I do recommend it.
Ok after Prince of Southland I moved on to Eaternal Nocturnal and holy shit did I get sucked in. I absolutely adore the premise, a dream eater relying on an insomniac girl for food. Romance, fantasy, and drama are all present. The author has another series that is more widely known, which is also a finished series that I believe is also a WEBTOON original (Sirens Lament). At first I did think that the stories would be too similar when I read the first few episodes but they are definitely different. Anyway, Eaternal Nocturnal is great and I would of course recommend it. The author does a great job of making the characters complex and giving the reader something to empathize with. I cant wait for the hiatus to end, I can’t get enough of the series.
Back for some more WEBTOON “reviews”. I feel like I should have a disclaimer that these are all purely my opinions as a NONprofessional. I don’t write or draw comics so I don’t know anything about the technical side, I just talk about how I felt when reading. Anyways, recently I’ve read a couple so I’ll write them all down:
Immortal Weakling (Yaruno/Civen): pretty good! It has an interesting story and art, I’m not quite sure where it’s going yet but it looks to be starting out nicely.
Sword interval (Benjamin Fleuter): this one is finished and I have to say it is an insanely awesome story. It’s a great read and has lovely complex characters and lore/world building. Truly a master piece!
Saint Catherine (brusierkee): this one is great too! I think it’s on a hiatus and so far I’m not sure how far into the story we are, but I love the idea so I think it will be really interesting. Plus the art style is adorable.
Souris (littlemothpants): this one is kind of a reread because it had been a while since I caught up, but I definitely enjoyed it. I think the story is really interesting, it’s one of those zombie apocalypses and while I may be wrong, it feels like the author has found ways to make the world building unique despite the commonality of the zombie trope.
The Witch and the Bull (moonsia): absolutely amazing! I love this story, it is so unique and the world building is beautiful. It really feels like the author put a lot of thought into how the story will build in complexity.
Holy Hell (Marilyn Hightower): this is the final one I’ve finished. I LOVE the art style and I think the story is really interesting so far. I wouldn’t say it’s brand new, but I do think it’s newer, so the full shenanigans haven’t erupted yet, but from what I can tell it’s gonna be awesome.

I’m crying at the art style
Just a little comic.
