The Slow Steady Sound Of Beeping Was What Woke Karim. There Was Nothing For A Moment. Just Darkness.

The slow steady sound of beeping was what woke Karim. There was nothing for a moment. Just darkness. Then as he began to open his eyes, blinding light. Blinking away the initial burst of it, he began to look around, pain in his body as he began to sit up. A hospital, but why?

Their voice drew him from the many conclusions running through his mind. His eyes took in the sight of them, memory coming up blank on who they were. "I'm sorry, who are you? Do we know each other? What am I doing here?"

Florence woke up slowly after hearing their voice. The hospital room chair wasn't the most comfortable but it was enough for her to get some rest after the midnight rush to fulfill her half-awake promise. It wasn't the most comfortable situation but Florence didn't care. "Hey," she sat up slowly, extending a hand but not quite feeling comfortable to touch them. "How are you doing?"

When The Distress Call Came, The Crew Wasted No Time To Board And See What Was Happening. Never Did Any

When the distress call came, the crew wasted no time to board and see what was happening. Never did any of them expect to find what lay before them. Carnage everywhere. The bodies, some mutilated from the chest, others just ripped to pieces, what could have done this? The team split up and swept the station for survivors, for clues to what occurred here.

It wasn't long until Karim found exactly what the thing that ripped this place to shreds was. Awe struck with fear, what he was seeing was a terror, a nightmare come alive. The only thing that kept him from running and alerting the team was that fact that someone needed help. Lifting up his rifle, using the fact that the creature was currently preoccupied to his advantage, he lined up his sight. Taking a deep breath in, he squeezed, the creature roared back in anger, lining up another shot, he was able to unload another one into its back as it scuttered off.

Jogging over, he held his hand out for the woman to take. "Are you okay?" It was a stupid question but one he needed to ask nonetheless.

The fear coursed through her, a primal spike of adrenaline urging her to run, to flee. Temperance scrambled back, her eyes locked on the threat. There was no way out, just the corner that she literally backed herself into. This couldn't be how she died. After everything, Temperance knew she would have to fight. But summoning the strength and not cowering in fear seemed impossible.

Elio Could Feel A Subtle Shift In The Wind, Or Was It The Mood, The Energy Of This Place, As He Continued

Elio could feel a subtle shift in the wind, or was it the mood, the energy of this place, as he continued to trek through it. As much as he was excited for this a nervousness began to fill him. The history of this place running through his head. Such beautiful landscape for such tragic things. And here he stood with one that had survived it. As he did with all stories, he would handle this with respect, care, what he worked for was to share the experience. In a way this episode would be about the warning signs that were missed, the things to look out for to make sure that you didn't fall prey into what everyone here had.

"I get it," Elio nodded, knowing all too well the debt higher education did to someone. "What made you want to be a nurse, if you don't mind me asking?" His hands held onto the strap of his over the shoulder bag, not finding anything else to do with them at the moment.

He wanted to reach out and place his hand on her shoulder, but he knew from past experiences that not everyone that agreed to be part of his episodes liked that. So he used his words best as he could. "I can't say that I understand but I can say that I am here to listen to whatever and anything you want to say on or off the record. I'm not here to make this some sort of circus or mockery of what happened. I do this because I genuinely want to know what happened and if in someway that can help it not happen to someone else." He knew all too well about which him she spoke about it, it sounded like she didn't want to say or hear his name and he would respect that. "Do you want to tell me what others didn't want to listen to?"

A big part of her didn't understand why anyone would want to know about what happened at the camp. It was a beautiful place that turned evil. She didn't think that anyone who could actually stand on that dirt would want to bring any sort of attention to it. The Camp should just slowly return to nature and be forgotten.

Harper turned to look at him. "I need the money." She answered honestly. "Nursing school is expensive and I don't have time for picking up more than a shift or two." This money was enough to cover her rent for a few months which lifted a great weight off her chest. She nodded and gratefully slipped his jacket over her own.

"You're very nice, Elio, and I do appreciate it. But you just wouldn't understand." She didn't want to go into everything, especially right there. Not where it happened. "It's like something took them over... Took him over. And it was ore than what everyone said. All the reporters and detectives, no one understood. No one would."

"We Do?" Karim Asked, A Bit Surprised. Why Would He Not Remember Her If They Did Know Each Other? Looking

"We do?" Karim asked, a bit surprised. Why would he not remember her if they did know each other? Looking around the hospital room, a small panic began to sink in. "No, I think I'll be okay." Sitting up, his head hurt as he tried to think about what was the last thing he did.

"I can't remember," he said softly. "The last thing I remember was a dinner with my parents." It was a moment in time almost two years ago, but he didn't know that, the recall was fuzzy. "How did I end up here?" His hand came up absent-mindedly to scratch at the gauze that covered the stitches on the side of his head.

"We Do?" Karim Asked, A Bit Surprised. Why Would He Not Remember Her If They Did Know Each Other? Looking

"Karim, hey." Did they know each other? Not to be a Nora Ephron movie but at one point, she was confident that she knew him better than she knew herself. The doctors had said that this was expected with the head injury but she didn't predict how it would make her feel.

"Yeah, we know each other." Her voice was soft even though she wanted to shake him. "You um, you were in an accident. You've been kind of out of it for a while." Florence took a deep breath then shifted to sit at the foot of his bed. "What's the last thing you remember? If you're in any pain, I can grab a nurse and they'll get you whatever you need."

Alejandra Had Never Been This Close To A Landwalker Before. Part Of Her Was Scared Wanting To Swim Away

Alejandra had never been this close to a landwalker before. Part of her was scared wanting to swim away from him due to all the stories they were all told since they were born. But she was so fascinated by him too and her curiosity was outweighing her fear. So she slowly came over closer to him, leaning on the rock ledge of the pool.

"Huh?" Alejandra asked cocking her head to the side unsure about how to answer the man. Hold her breath? Why would she have to hold her breath to swim? "I don't remember. Maybe ten minutes? Are you okay?" She asked taking in his demeanor. " Did you swim here too?" It was something she found hard to believe seeing his lack of fin, but it would be a new fact that she could add to her collection. Maybe thats how all the things she had collected so far had ended up on the ocean floor? "Do you have anything shiny?"

"Hello?" Dominic Called Out In Response. This Was Officially The Worst Case Scenario. Stranded In A Cave

"Hello?" Dominic called out in response. This was officially the worst case scenario. Stranded in a cave with no hope of getting out. It wasn't the first time he'd done a dumb thing and ended up on death's door. This one though, he wasn't so sure he would get out of it. Until of course another person made their way into the cave.

He didn't think anything was broken but Dominic wasn't sure whether there would be any possibility that he could get out. The rope he'd used to enter the cave from the hole in the ground had snapped when he was a few feet above the water. He dropped in and spent a good hour trying to climb out.

Soon enough, Dominic abandoned hope and contemplated scratching out his last will and testament on the beautiful bio-luminescent cave walls but ultimately decided the leave no trace protocol was more important than his legacy. He perched on the small rock ledge that surrounded the water and idly daydreamed.

He sat up straight when he heard someone else. "Oh shit, how long did you have to hold your breath to get here?" If it wasn't too long, he could swim his way out.
