040,exploring the depths of a mysterious cave. -> Dominic & ur choice set the scene meme

Alejandra was already farther than she had ever gone before. This cave system was new to her but that was where all the best stuff was, was what she came to learn. The first bit was a tad dark but as she followed the walls, the light began to shine through, there was a small alcove in this cave system.
Excitedly, Alejandra swam up, hoping that something beautiful to add to her collection would be found. Breaching the surface, she looked around, the alcove was small, a small hole on the roof of it streamed in light from outside illuminating the area, a bioluminescence existed on the walls and it made it look like a night sky. Slowly, mouth agape in wonder, she swam in a circle, taking her time to take the sight in when she heard something behind her.
Not thinking clearly, Alejandra called out a timid hello? as she turned around.

Alejandra had never been this close to a landwalker before. Part of her was scared wanting to swim away from him due to all the stories they were all told since they were born. But she was so fascinated by him too and her curiosity was outweighing her fear. So she slowly came over closer to him, leaning on the rock ledge of the pool.
"Huh?" Alejandra asked cocking her head to the side unsure about how to answer the man. Hold her breath? Why would she have to hold her breath to swim? "I don't remember. Maybe ten minutes? Are you okay?" She asked taking in his demeanor. " Did you swim here too?" It was something she found hard to believe seeing his lack of fin, but it would be a new fact that she could add to her collection. Maybe thats how all the things she had collected so far had ended up on the ocean floor? "Do you have anything shiny?"

"Hello?" Dominic called out in response. This was officially the worst case scenario. Stranded in a cave with no hope of getting out. It wasn't the first time he'd done a dumb thing and ended up on death's door. This one though, he wasn't so sure he would get out of it. Until of course another person made their way into the cave.
He didn't think anything was broken but Dominic wasn't sure whether there would be any possibility that he could get out. The rope he'd used to enter the cave from the hole in the ground had snapped when he was a few feet above the water. He dropped in and spent a good hour trying to climb out.
Soon enough, Dominic abandoned hope and contemplated scratching out his last will and testament on the beautiful bio-luminescent cave walls but ultimately decided the leave no trace protocol was more important than his legacy. He perched on the small rock ledge that surrounded the water and idly daydreamed.
He sat up straight when he heard someone else. "Oh shit, how long did you have to hold your breath to get here?" If it wasn't too long, he could swim his way out.

"Air bubbles?" Alejandra echoed back with a confused look on her face. Four minutes? He needed to hold his breath? As someone who didn't need to breathe when underwater, the concept of keeping track or looking for pockets of air in the underwater tunnels that led to this hidden gem was foreign. With a smile on her face she learned a new fact that she didn't know. If she helped him with this, she'd be able to learn more about the land walkers, and up close! "Are all of you only able to hold your breath for four minutes? Did you want me to go back and look? I didn't see any but I was not looking either. I might have missed them."

She nodded her head as he repeated what she asked for. As he held his hand out, she looked at the piece, she hadn't seen anything shaped like that before. Slowly she treaded water towards him, carefully keeping her fin directly underneath her to not scare him off and lose her new piece for her collection. When he pulled it back, she let an audible scoff out. Upset that it was coming with stipulations. "How do I know that you'll give it to me for sure, once I help you out of here?" She had heard plenty of stories about the finless and their trickster ways.

"Hmm," she tilted her head curiously as she gathered that. So some of them could hold their breathes in longer than others. And it seemed like others trained to be able to do it longer. Already this venture out further than she was used to was looking good and expanding her knowledge of these landwalkers. Looking up at the hole he had come through at the same time as he did, she thought about it. A rope, she knew rope but didn't have one. "Sorry," she shook her head.
Rock climb?!? Was that something she could do? She didn't know just yet but she didn't care, excitedly, her hand reached out and all her fingers wrapped around the pinky he held out for her. Is that how this was done? Her smile quickly faltered at his last statement. death? If she broke this promise she would die? Pushing away, her fin came up as she held her hand against her chest and she swam backwards from him, scared. "I'll die if I don't keep this promise?"
