Vento Aureo as Greek Gods
Before continuing to read, please keep in mind that the plot of Vento Aureo plays no major role in this headcannon. I decided to keep some of the familial ties of Vento Aureo, but greatly change the relationships of the gods in the original Greek pantheon, since there's a lot of incest and other weird fucky family ties and relationships. So ill manly focus on the characteristics, personalities and abilities of the characters. I’m also not an expert on Greek mythology, so there might be some inaccuracies.

Overall, I wrote this just for fun and I hope you enjoy reading through my ramblings.

Diavolo: Hades
This one may be a bit obvious but I think that the role of Hades fits him perfectly. Diavolo, much like Hades, is cold, stern and somewhat of a ruler or a self-imposed king. They even match in the “hidden identity” department for the most part, as the underworld is considered an ‘unseen realm’. The underworld would probably represent Passione’s darker gangs like the special squad and the assassin squad.

Doppio Vinegar: Atropos
The oldest of the Moirai, or the three sisters of fate. Atropos cuts the string of destiny. I couldn’t really get a feel for Doppio, but I think that the representation of fate suits him pretty well. Doppios stand really helped me out here, as Epitaths ability to see the future is reminiscent of what Atropos does.

Squalo+Tiziano: Dolos+Athena
Starting with Squalo, I see him as a very cunning yet hot-headed individual, so choosing Dolos, the god of deception and lies is quite fitting. Squalo would be very calm and cocky when lying, but as soon as someone catches on to him, he would start to panic. I also thought that it would make an interesting pairing with Tiziano, who I interpret as Athena, the goddess of war and tactics. I see their dynamic as “great intelligence put to different uses”. While Squalo is apt at lying and treachery, Tiziano is more level-headed and logical.

Cioccolata+Secco: Paean+Lyssa
While thinking of Chioccolata I decided to put less emphasis on his former job and focus more on his stand ability. Paean is actually an old god who was considered the physician of the Gods, but as time went on people started to merge him with Apollo. Some people may not know this but in addition to being the god of the sun, music, and other pleasant things, Apollo also represents plagues. Thus, the links to Chioccolatas former profession as a doctor and the bringer of death by mold/disease. As for Secco, I already knew what deity would go well with him. Judging Seccos animalistic nature I thought that Lyssa, the goddess of rage, insanity, and rabies would be fitting.

Overall, I wrote this just for fun and I hope you enjoy reading through my ramblings.

Bruno Bucciarati: Veritas
At first, I wanted to represent Bruno with a more motherly mythological figure, like Demeter, but after some deliberation, I decided that Veritas, the goddess of truth would suit him a lot better. Not only because Bruno is skilled at detecting liars, but also because of the aesthetic that represents the goddess of truth. Veritas is most often described wearing white fabrics and if that doesn't scream Bruno Bucciarati I don’t know what does. Despite the visual appearance, I see Bruno as a very truthful individual who wants to see wrongdoers punished and he’ll happily go through with doing it himself.

Pannacotta Fugo: Ares
Representing Fugo as Aries is quite predictable, but it’s also extremely fitting. I don’t want to undermine Fugo’s intelligence and I intended to represent him as a God of knowledge, but Ares seems to be more in line with Purple Haze. I see Fugo as an individual who thinks that he has to act out in violence out of necessity instead of the thrill of war or mindless bloodshed, though his particular brand of combat is very gruesome, he doesn’t like it in the slightest. He finds his existence is like a burden to everyone and as a result, he often falls into long- lasting cycles of dejection where his negative thoughts often torment him.

Narancia Ghirga: Notus
Narancia’s stand made me want to represent him with a deity closely related to the sky, so I chose Notus, the God of the southern wind. Their personalities also align quite well, both of them being short-tempered and unhinged. Narancia’s outbursts can be attributed to sudden changes in weather, fog, mist and impressive storms.

Guido Mista: Artemis
Since I couldn’t find an appropriate deity according to his personality, I decided that Artemis, the goddess of hunting and archery would represent his stand the best. Mista’s quite childish personality and very close friendship with Narancia can also be attributed to Artemis being the protector of children.

Leone Abbacchio: Dionysus
Leone was one of the easier characters to find a fitting god for. I chose Dionysus for his fondness for wine, which I think would be suitable as we see Leone drinking heavily before joining Passione. I also find that Dionysus’ tendency to avoid most physical altercations by driving his opponents insane vaguely reminds me of Moody Blues ability during his fight with Illuso.

Giorno Giovanna: Demeter
I see Giorno as a very headstrong and mature person that why I chose Demeter, the elder goddess of plants and the harvest. Giorno likes to be in control of any given situation and keeping the people close to him close and protected which correlates to Demeter's grief over her daughter's disappearance. He's often the voice of reason in the group since he wants to make sure everyone’s okay and safe. Giorno's stand is also very representative of Demeter's love for nature.

Trish Una: Horae
Trish is the character that goes through the most drastic change during the events of Vento Aureo so choosing a deity to represent her was difficult, I think that Horae, the goddess of seasons would be a good representation. Her mistrust in the people who were protecting her slowly grew into a blooming friendship. This also sparked her determination to defeat Diavolo, which can be attributed to Horae’s ties to order and justice as they guard the gates to Olympus.

Overall, I wrote this just for fun and I hope you enjoy reading through my ramblings.

Risotto Nero: Moros
Moros is the Greek God of impending doom, so in my opinion, who’s better to fit that role than the leader of the assassin team Risotto Nero himself. Moros was regarded as merciless and inevitable, thus him being and feared by mortal people and Gods alike. Even after his victims die, Moros continues to torment them in the afterlife, because of this he is commonly called, “The All-Destroying God”.

Prosciutto: Kairos
Prosciutto's stand ability to age people made me think of Chronos, but I decided that the lesser-known Kairos would be a much better fit. While Kairos is also a deity who represents time, he is considered the embodiment of opportunist time. Prosciutto has to take action not only for his sake but also for Pesci and the rest of his team.

Pesci: Triton
I chose to represent Pesci with the minor water deity since he’s considered a younger and less experienced member of La Squadra. Triton is the one who raises the ocean waves. He's also often represented with a tail, and I thought that it would be an interesting trait to give Pesci since he stands out most out of the other members of La Squadra.

Formaggio: Até
Choosing a deity for Formaggio was very difficult since we don’t have a lot of insight into La Squadra’s life outside of Veto Aureo and his stand ability is pretty cut and dry. So, I went with what I had and chose Até the Goddess of mischief and folly. Formaggio is shown to be quite cruel for instance, he has no problem shrinking Narancia and pitting him against a spider.

Illuso: Momus
Momus is the Greek God of satire, mockery, and blame. Illuso being one of the cockiest members of La Squadra poking fun at everything and criticizing his teammates conveys Momus’s goal to find fault in anything and everything so that he could ridicule it. Momus also has a dark side. He would often instill in men feelings of failure in regards to new ideas or new ventures, which can be attributed to Illuso endlessly chastising Formaggio about his stand or his fight with Fugo, Abbacchio, and Giorno.

Melone: Aphrodite
At first, I was going to represent Melone as Eros, but Aphrodite seemed much more fitting because of her promiscuous nature. Aphrodite is the Greek Goddess of love, beauty, and fertility; she had many lovers both gods and men with whom she had a copious number of children. Melone himself being very fixated on fertility and childbirth because of his stand.

Ghiaccio: Boreas
I’m glad that Boreas, the Greek god of the northern wind was the perfect match for Ghiaccio. Boreas was said to bring winter and snow from the Thrake mountains. Their personalities also match quite well, Boreas is depicted as being very strong, with a violent temper to match and Ghiaccio sports the same fiery temper. Ghiaccio’s White Album is also a perfect representation of winter.

Gelato+Sorbet: Zelus+Plutus
These two were almost impossible to figure out, seeing how little they appear in both the anime and manga, so I had to take some creative liberties. I see Gelato as someone who wears an unwavering smirk at all times. He knows his teammates well so he’ll often tease them. It pleases him when he can get a rise out of someone. I also see him as jealous and controlling in his relationship with Sorbet. For these reasons, I chose to represent him as Zelus, the god of jealousy, rivalry, and zeal. As for Sorbet, we know that he is very materialistic and loves money. He would be the one to calm and reassure Gelato whenever he would get aggravated. I also see sorbet as a very literal person who has trouble reading people he doesn't know very well. Therefore, I represented Sorbet as Plutus, the Greek God of wealth.
