Hanako will NOT be portrayed as some sexualized minor with a brother complex in my story, and I like to think that that's because I'm a decent human being. Hanako was specifically very fun to draw because I like drawing happy characters and she's adorable.
But back to the important stuff. Hanako joins Akedemi to watch over her brother and make sure that his mental health doesn't absolutely deteriorate by trying to stop any incident that comes his way. I imagine that on the first day, she's nearly impossible to kill because Taro will be showing her around the school. On other days, she's constantly switching between socializing and checking on her brother, which might make her elimination difficult due to always being around people.
I'd like to think of a super hard task for her so it's worth it when you ask her to follow you or tell her to go away- if she even does, she may want to stay in Taro's general area. I don't think she'll leave if you threaten her because she'll just cry about it and go tell Taro, which might just be a general game over. More beneath the cut.
Some assume that Hazu was meant to be Mida's suitor (which is a horrible thought because he'd be way too anxious to say that he wouldn't want something like that), but I think that it's Toga simply because he's in her class. I'd rather Hazu be with Hanako, and I think that'd be beneficial for him because she's an extrovert and could teach him how to avoid negative social interactions more. As I stated above, Hanako will actively seek out his company, likely because she has a crush on him. I think it'd be interesting if we could get closer to a rival by treating her like the suitor and giving her the tips for winning over her crush.
Hanako may be labeled as an "unkillable rival" simply because of the toll it will take on Taro if she ever dies. Losing a childhood friend is one thing, and considering how much trauma he faces beforehand, losing his sister could break everything. If dangerous things happened before hand and Taro still ignored Hanako's worries, only for Hanako to get killed in the same environment that he's been in the whole time (and her ONLY being there for his wellbeing and safety), I think we could possibly have some sort of alternate nemesis on his hands. On a less depressing note, I think that Hanako will be clingy only when she's anxious. If she sees some blood on the floor, she'll run to Taro and tell him about it. Depending on the general atmosphere, he may decide to tell a teacher or leave the school, of course, with Hanako on his arm. If anything, seeing anything suspicious from a dangerous weapon to psychotic laughing could disturb Hanako's whole routine and cause her to stick by Taro for the rest of the day.
Another idea I had was having Hanako subtly follow people she finds suspicious, but only after seeing them do something strange. I don't mean for this to contradict my earlier statement. My goal is to make her follow Ayano. Only from a distance and only after she does something strange, like giggle for someone else's attention or tell someone to follow her or go away. Hanako might watch from a distance, but open doors that Ayano closes for the sake of being able to see. If she feels like she's being too weird, she might try to start a conversation with Ayano and question her. I think it's worth noting that anything that Hanako sees Ayano or someone else do, she'll refer to them to Taro by name. If the student or Ayano have a good reputation, it's unlikely that he'll believe that they mean any harm. Something else that could force Ayano to be peaceful in Hanako's week is to make it so if anyone dies or goes missing while she's present in the school, she'll force Taro to drop out for both of their safety. Unless you distract Hanako's anxieties with a love interest in Megami's week, she might do the same then, too. Maybe if Ayano befriends Hanako, Hanako will trust her enough to want Ayano to be around and possibly even protect him. But that would likely be adding some new complex function to the game. Lord knows the coding can't handle that. (🙄)
The rivals will never come, let's be honest. So here I am reviewing them as a writer. Buckle up, I'll tackle all 10 of them. We'll give them all a rating and then calculate the arithmetic mean to see how "good" of a writter Pedodev is.
I will automatically take 5 points from a character rating because (except with Osana) their actions aren't shown in-game. The attitude, acts or behavior can tell us a lot about the characters, but with yansim rivals they are just "she's nice", "she's mean".
Osana: 10/10
Why? Sure, she might not be the best character, but from a writting standpoint, she is the best. She has qualities, flaws, internal and external conflict and actions, language and behavior that indirectly characterizes her.
Amai: 3/10
Just qualities no flaws. Boring. And she doesn't do shit in the story. Give characters flaws, those are sexy.
Kizana: 6/10
Gets a pass cause she's a bad character and makes sense for her to only have flaws.
Oka: 2/10
Overloved by fandom. She has like flaws but damn, she just seems uninteresting. Also, from her, I expected qualities. After all, she's a club leader.
Asu: 3/10
Litterally same story as Amai
Muja + Mida: 1/10
Do I even have to explain? Even from a writting standpoint they are dogshit
Osoro: 8/10
She gets a high pass because she has both qualities and flaws and there is some known lore to her. Probably my second favorite. Also bonus point because she has a major flaw that overshadows the good ones. I am a sucker for these characters
Hanako: 3/10
Bro, she is the ebodinment of the word 'cringe'. I'll never stop hating on her clingly possesive ass.
Megami: 4/10
What do we have? Little miss Waa Waa I have bad past but everyone likes me yet still I'm sad waa waa. Cry me a damn river. At this point, I'm just biased. Only one bonus point because she is important.
Now let's do a little calculation
(10+3+6+2+3+1+1+8+3+4)Ă·10= 4.1
If you are going to make a video game with lots of characters, try to make them compelling
You are the type of girls big brothers warn to other soon-to-be siblings. Imagine being so entitled to your brother to the point where you try to intervene with his love life, to the point where you seem like a harmless Ayano.
Look at you, so pathetic. Ever heard of making friends? Ever heard of... growing up?
Sorry but I hope your pigtails rip off one day because just look at how high they are. You probably still pull on them like a little four year old. Honey, you're 16 18.
You look like the type that cried when they heard about racism and had a full on meltdown when found out about misoginy.
You look like the target audience for Crybaby. Tho a bit too target audience. You look a bit too much like the cutegore girlies that enjoy pink-haired girls getting tortured in the most gruesome way. You look so bland, you make "Jane Doe" look interesting
Ok now assumptions aside, your whole concept as a rival sounds stupid. Entitled sister wants older all for herself. It would have made more sense if Hanako was his older sister that didn't want to see her brother hurt rather than some clingy bitch. Or maybe... maybe she isn't a rival, but Ayano is just angry at her for spending too much time with Taro and in her sick and deluded logic, she wants Taro, which would fit Ayano's yandere character and also her presentation of Hanako would portray Yan-chan as an unreliable narator.
Sibling rival... concept? Sounds bad, can be good. But of course, if all the roads lead to the capital, than all the blame falls on the writter.
Disclaimer: Don't come at me with the "she has anxiety" or "she has trauma" simce that isn't mentioned anywhere and here I take from canon
Who’s your least favorite rival?
I'd say Megami, but at least her week will be exciting cause it's the "final boss" battle. All the rivals have their group that could offer something exciting, except Osana, but she can slide because she is the first rival and isn't meant to be that hard.
Hanako. There is nothing exciting about her. The bakesale seems cool, I wanna see Kizana's performance. I am wondering about Oka's paranormal research. Sports week will always be asociated with happines for me, cause my school would some classes skip to watch some of the kids from my school play. I'll skip the other 2. I trully want to see Osoro's deal and want to see the final battle with Megami. Hanako tho? She doesn't really offer anything "of her own". The somewhat interesting thing about her is that she's a clingy bitch and Taro's brother.

I was scrolling through Yandere Simulator stuff and found some art by Mulbery. I decided to redraw it with my personal designs of the Rivals -3-
Original:
Small Yandere Sim comic :)
The fact Nemesis and Hanako are the same person will never not fill my head with questions. Does Nemesis wear red eye contacts? And is anyone from Saikou Corp. aware of the alternate dimension?

I’ve been thinking about Yandere Simulator recently…..
Do you guys remember Geiju Tsuka? The art club leader?
When I was younger, I had a theory that he was a killer.
Because, if I remember correctly, if you wore “Red Paint” from the art club, the police would detect it as blood, and if an art club member saw you kill someone, they would tell the leader, but Geiju wouldn’t say anything regarding it. Maybe cause he also knows Ayano is a killer and he doesn’t care?
I think there was more evidence that I had, but I can only remember those things.
I’m not really in this fandom anymore, so, if I got something wrong, yell at me-
