Head Pats From Geto Could Fix Me - Tumblr Posts

I have a headcanon about Geto's hairstyle change (maybe there's some symbolism to it, but idk so here's mine).
What if the silhouette of Geto with his hair up resembles the people from their village? The elders who were scapegoating and incarcerating kids. Ofc he doesn't look like them, but with a dim nightlight and half-asleep after a nightmare?
Geto's hair was entirely up in the high bun when he found Mimiko and Nanako. After that, it never was. He changed his look, too, but even before then, in Shinjuku, without the kesa, he kept his hair half up.
He rly did everything for those girls. Dropped out of high school, losing his career, his friends, everything. He couldn't let what happened to Riko be repeated. And even if he took Mimiko and Nanako with him, but left the village and the cult alone, the cycle would repeat with more victims. This was Geto's way to end the cycle.
We've already seen official art of Geto reading that book on motherhood or whatever, so I think he was also well-read on subjects like PTSD and childhood trauma. Mimiko and Nanako grew up to be strong and confident, they were true to themselves. They had the courage to complain, to ask for things. They were able to recover.
