i am fairly proud of this, of the feel of it, although it needs quite a bit of editing if you ask me

As they did all of their awful things, he could only clench his fists tightly, feel the coolness of the ring on his skin, fighting what they were trying to do to him. But it was worthless. It was worthless to fight it any longer and his free will, his free mind was now far away from whatever they had made. That was moving his body, while the actual Theo watched through a haze. But that wasn’t the actual Theo either, was it? The actual Theo was even farther back, asleep or trapped, maybe both, but he wouldn’t get a chance to get out if even this memoryless, but with his own thoughts, Theo was trapped.

!!! this is seriously so cute and amazing and literally gave me all the feels

I wonder why Wyn’s struggling to sleep and getting anxious? I feel like we had some hints here and there, and that makes me intrigued to want to know more.

I’m also invested in the magic system and the way your world works. Like what’s the government based off of? How does magic exist, etc.? c: just thoughts that came to mind haha

It’s also super interesting to get a glimpse into their somewhat more glamorous lifestyle as fugitives, as they’re living completely opposite from what I’d expect. Are they waiting for something to happen, or someone to find them? If so, what?

Basically: I need more of this.

summary: A short story showing an alternate confession scene in Heart of Hellfire. Wynn has been training all day so Theo has her rest, but he notices that she hasn’t been sleeping well. Their joking and teasing though, leads to some unexpected realisations.
