Wolvie's Boo-boos

( Caregiver Deadpool to the rescue for Little Wolverine! It's a short story, hope you like! )

Deadpool sat on a stool, carefully wrapping bandages around Wolverine's muscular arm. "Come on, Wolvie, hold still," Deadpool jokingly chided, his gloved hands skillfully tending to the Wolverine's many scrapes and cuts.

Wolverine grunted in begrudging response, his gruff exterior betraying his need for the help as it slowly melted away to something softer.

"You're such a baby when you get hurt, you know that?" Deadpool teased, a hint of concern hidden beneath the playful banter. As Deadpool continued to wrap the bandage, he noticed a subtle shift in Wolverine's demeanor. The normally stoic mutant's eyes widened, and a small pout formed on his lips as he glanced at his wounds.

Curiosity piqued, Deadpool chuckled aloud. "Well, well, isn't this a surprise. It seems like big Wolverine's gone, huh?" Wolverine huffed, his cheeks flushing slightly. He hated to admit that he needed babying.

"I'm… I'm not regressing," Wolverine protested, his voice taking on a softer tone than usual while a pout forms on his face. "I can take care of myself." Deadpool couldn't help but grin under his mask, clearly amused by Wolverine's stubbornness. "Oh, really? Cuz your teeny little voice is saying otherwise, little buddy," he teased, gently ruffling Wolverine's hair once he had secured the bandages properly. Wolverine's only response was a grumpy huff, his face scrunching up as he watches him with mild curiosity.

Deadpool chuckled once more, the sight of such a rugged and strong man acting so small was absolutely adorable to him. "Come on, little Wolvie," he said with a smirk. "Let's go get you a toy to play with." Despite his pride, Wolverine couldn't help but find comfort in Deadpool's banter. As he was ushered to a nearby couch, he tried to feign indifference, still clinging to the last shreds of his adult façade.

"I… I don't need toys," he protested, crossing his arms in a childish display of defiance.

Deadpool rolled his eyes, though the action was hidden by his mask. "Sure you don't, tough guy," he retorted, placing a small plushie on Wolverine's lap.

Wolverine tried to fight the urge to grab the plushie, but, he found himself hugging the soft toy involuntarily, a warm, childlike comfort settling over him.

"Told ya." Deadpool chuckled, taking a seat beside Wolverine on the couch.

Wolverine grumbled, burying his face into the plushie's fuzzy embrace, his tough exterior crumbling completely with each passing second.

"Don't leave..." he mumbled, his voice muffled by the soft toy in his arms. Deadpool chuckled softly, clearly enjoying the sight of Wolverine's vulnerability as he pulled him closer. "Oh, I wouldn't dream of it," he says quietly, gently patting Wolverine's head.

Wolverine sighed, his eyes drooping slightly as he leaned into Deadpool's touch. The pair snuggling together on the sofa in peace.

Another round of Logan headcanons because why not

He tends to throw quieter tantrums than others, it's mostly stomping his feet and whining, although he can be destructive if he's really frustrated

A few dolls have lost their heads, blocks have been broken, and stuffies have been skewered, but he's always extremely remorseful, apologizing to those that can be fixed and sobbing over the ones that can't

He will make it his mission to become the definition of a sticky toddler when he's on the smaller side if presented with the opportunity

Every mud puddle will be jumped in if he has any say about it

He does not like deep water, and subsequently tries to avoid baths like the plague

The big pool is an obvious no go, but he's usually okay with kiddie pools since they're shallow and he can easily get out

He climbs everything. Trees, people, chandeliers, he doesn't care, he'll take what he can get

He likes to dig holes (mini craters) and look at worms

Keep a pacifier or something that is safe for him to gnaw on within arms reach or he might take a chomp or two out of the nearest person

If it looks like it would taste good, he will probably try to taste it

The driving around at night to make the baby sleep trick does indeed work on him, flying too

He sleeps with all of his stuffies and will apologize to them if they fall off the bed
