hi btw guys. we got an official explanation for how nikolai was in that position in the latest official art and
like guys this is INSANE. i had previously assumed that it was just like, cool art logic. I had chalked it up to composition. but no. NIKOLAI IS ACTUALLY HOLDING HIMSELF IN THAT POSITION BY ONE HAND ON A BAR. do you guys even understand how crazy that is. like. the sheer core strength. not just the sheer core strength that would require but the sheer strength in essentially EVERY part of his body. that leg positioning...! he holds this flawlessly, he makes it look so seamless and casual it genuinely looks as though he is sitting on air.

I absolutely love Harry James Potter. He is so unflinchingly strong, both mentally and physically. He's been through a colossal amount of shit and still remains to be sane, kind and loving. Even though he's been through hell he chooses to be on the right side and fight for the right things. He doesn't let his past define who he is.
People who go through such things tend to feel "entitled". Such people tend to go on the wrong path thinking that their past is a justification for the choices they are making in the present. But Harry, on the other hand, has never let anything he's been through get to his head like that and I think that is a clear testament to how strong he is mentally.
Yes, he's not perfect, he has flaws, he makes mistakes and he gets angry but I think that's what makes his character more realistic.
He also teaches us how you don't need to be perfect at everything to achieve/ do great things in life.
Also can I just add, this boy fucking walked to his own death at the age of 17!!
It sometimes hits me how much Harry's childhood is a part of him.
Like Harry Potter wouldn't be Harry Potter if he didn't go through all the shit he went through with the Dursley's. He wouldn't be as observant, as brave, as courageous, as determined as he is. He has great reflexes because he's used to dodging danger, he wants to save people because he knows what it's like to be hurt.
I mean my baby was mentally and physically abused for the first 10 years of his life. The most important years where kids require the most attention and affection. Of which he got like 0.01% ( the meagre amount of food and hand me downs) . But that is what shaped his character so much, made him who he is. He survived that abuse, and came out wonderful. That also goes to show how much shit like that doesn't define us.
His innate kindness, loyalty, and just the fact that he cares. So bloody much. He loves fiercely and so fully. I think that's all because he's James and Lily's son and we can all imagine how amazingly kind the people who willingly died for their family would be. ( There's a lot of other great things about jily that I dont think need listing) . These qualities helped him survive the whole ordeal and I think that says a lot about his character.
