BUT the way you look at him with such adoration even though you’re caught up in this mess makes it all worth it.

Redson - They have no idea how you’re even alive. No matter, because they love the praise they get from you when they move you out of the way of one of the booby traps in their house. They have to come up with creative ways for you to remember which tiles are the bad ones without also giving it away to potential intruders. Whenever you’re ABOUT to do something dumb, it’s like a sixth sense, and they immediately find an excuse to leave whoever they’re talking with to get to you. Macaque - he keeps you close to him at ALL times if he can. No way are you gonna be able to just wander off, not on his watch! Finds your shenanigans funny at times, however if you could get seriously hurt he might have to intervene and have his clones just maneuver you around so you get the point. Still, he can’t stay mad at you for long, considering that you were just on your way to get him that boba tea he really likes.

SWK - you two are an enigma. A 100xImmortal monkey and a person who just. Narrowly avoids danger. To an alarming degree. You two are an unstoppable force honestly. He does his best to look out for you, especially if you’re just wandering around areas that he knows have demons in them. Sometimes he shapeshifts into animals so he can casually travel with you without having to disguise as a human, but other times he doesn’t mind doing it.
