Peter Jackson's incredible ride to the top had reached its pinnacle as millions of television viewers worldwide tuned in to see motion picture history unfold as the final installment of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, The Return of the King, had won 11 Academy Awards, making equal the record previously held by Ben-Hur and Titanic.
The enormous global success of The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy gave the stars the freedom to personally call the shots by being able to pick & choose which roles they wanted to take on, as well as deciding which high-profile photographers, make-up artists, hairdressers, designers & stylists they wanna or didn't wanna collaborate with.
The stars' worldwide influence, fame & power extended to every form of media, such as big & small screens, magazines, the stage, products, & even ad campaigns.
