Hytham - Tumblr Posts

let's play a game called, "is it fanfic or canon?"
Did this with the antaganotists in the game, so thought I would ask for the "Good Characters" as well.
Randvi is probably going to win this one but we will have to see. As you lot know Oswald is obviously my favourite... no shit my account shows it all. With Vili being a close second and Soma third as well. I enjoyed the Grantbridge arc most after the East Anglia one lol.
Anyway just curious to see who you guys like most after Eivor.

I wasn't able to dedicate lots of time to this year's codextober but enjoyed it anyway 💖
Hytham’s reaction to the Golden City novel (set 5 years before the start of Valhalla):

(I wish I could see Hytham’s reaction in the last one)
06/05/2023: I read it and it’s glorious, everything I’ve ever wanted to see in a backstory for Hytham and Basim’ bond.
so i just saw a pedro pascal interview earlier where he said this after responding "i dont know" to being asked if he wanted kids

and i immediately thought of them

hytham and eivor love indirectly saying that they love each other huh

Valhalla doodles
i'm tryin to work and all my brain will let stick to the wall is "valhalla au but eivor is Seriously Hurt in the fight against kjotve and can't follow sigurd to england right away (like. a year or two delay.)"
It's absolutely wild to me that HYTHAM is the one to help Eivor back on her feet and out of Valhalla when Odin tries to drag her down.
It could've been anyone, and yet the game shows us a man who couldn't be assed to fear Odin at all.
To everyone else, Hytham may as well have defied a god, but that meant shit all to a man from the Levant who travelled miles away from home and found family with Eivor and the people of Ravensthorpe.
He saw a friend in need, a friend who fought and bled beside him as they eradicated the templar order from England together.
To have envisioned him in that vulnerable of a dream state speaks volumes on how highly Eivor thinks of the man.
EDIT - I think this also ties in beautifully to his views about Basim in "The Golden City". I love Hytham, he is so fearless and earnest.

sometimes i think about a version of valhalla where hytham was able to assassinate kjtove
sometimes i think about a version of valhalla where hytham was able to assassinate kjtove
listen both hytham and eivor were orphaned as young children and were taken in and saved by a family that became their own and in return they became warriors devoted to that family and to the person who saved them, both of them followed that family from their homes and across the known world because of their love, they both had to build a new home for their people, and then they were both abandoned and betrayed by that family who left them in favor of being sages, the love lost in the face of unfathomable ancient memories, and despite losing everything again they became the leaders of their people despite never thinking they could, despite always being in another's shadow, and they did it together, and this is why hytham/eivor should have been canon, them finding each other and building a new family in the wake of the one they lost, their causes the same, choosing love and hope in the face of so much grief

“All I wish for now, is to live among the friends I have made. That is what counts.”

Eivor and Hytham inspired by Inkpot Gods and La Belle Dame sans Merci✨
Working on the next chapter for my Eivor is raised as a Hidden One AU and this is the vibe I'm going for;
Rayhan: "I don't trust Basim, so I'll send Hytham to spy on him!"
Hytham: *Chooses to trust Basim.*
Rayhan: "Ok this plan could still work, I'll just send another apprentice, Eivor, with them to Norway to spy on Basim."
Eivor: *Chooses to trust Basim.*
Rayhan: "What the fuck? What is it about this guy that caused him to be like catnip for assassin apprentices?"
