this is such an interesting take but so so correct but the thing is the affection is primarily there bc the recognize things in eachother that no one else can ive said it before and ill say it again about these two. just by understanding eachother on such a fundemental level theyre facilitating eachothers healing and bc of their friendship and influence on eachother their views and trajectory of growth end up drawing closer and at certain points almost converge they end up growing in the same direction. each one becoming more like the other in time they gave eachother the tools to survive in the world theyre left in after the war. theyre forever bonded bc of that. they also see a small part of themselves in the other at the begining. a part that has nothing to do w their similar trauma they just find eachother interesting and by loving the other they are closer to loving themselves its an acting of healing themselves as much as it is an act of healing eachother and yk maybe all this isnt enough. but I think its enough to warrant fight for and trying for i just have a lot of emotions over them garashir garak thoughts
