please i implore i beg i plead i beseech blackness is a trait an identity a culture and there are several definitions of it in application to people and there’s not reason to act like it’s something shameful or unorthodox or progressive even tacitly so i just love this it’s always frustrates me when people decide to censor or shorten the word ‘black’ like it’s a slur or offense african-american feels disrespectful in a way because it makes black people sound entirely foreign to the American continent as though european-americans don’t deserve a title like so this is a tangent for another day
