Today I come here to appreciate the writing of the whole Esther arc:
The show started with her and ended with her.
First we see, through Crystal, a memory of Esther covered in blood, looking towards the sea from which a huge woman emerges, making us wonder what this is about.
Then we learn that Esther made a deal with a powerful goddess named Lilith for immortality.
Then we learn that you can talk to this Lilith through any image of her.
We saw Esther make Monty a human, and now see how she treats him and even hear from him what being with her was like (him referring to it by saying he was in a coma).
And then in the last episode we learn Esther's whole story. Integrating everything we learned, Crystal talks to Lilith through the image of her in Esther's memory, mirroring the scene from the first episode, in which Crystal first saw into Esther's mind.
It was all rounded up perfectly and I am in awe. And I think we aren't talking about this enough.
