In the spirit of InverteFest, I learned of a jumping spider species I'd never heard of the fun way: when a half dozen or so showed up in a patch of long swampy grasses I was poking through looking for another species.

This handsome lad is Marpissa grata. He's pretty chill and sweet. 🖤
