In the spirit of InverteFest, I learned of a jumping spider species I'd never heard of the fun way: when a half dozen or so showed up in a patch of long swampy grasses I was poking through looking for another species.

like i was just... sitting there.. and then my brain goes oh shit theres spiders in your gums theyve laid eggs in your gums get them out. and so im sitting there trying to pull my teeth out and it hurts so badly now but i was genuinely convinced that there were spiders there and it was so bad.

I don't think people really understand my level of hatred towards spiders. Some people think that arachnophobia (for me, at least) is just not wanting to be around spiders, but I would literally rather get shot than have a spider on me. I don't feel like anyone understands the fear that I exhibit on a daily fkin' basis. I especially don't like it because my sister is dramatic af and will complain every time I ask her to go kill a spider. and to be fair, I don't give a fk about scorpions, but if a spider gets too close to my face and then days later you hear about my death, you will know why.
I'm honestly still glad I can listen to Spiderhead by Cage The Elephant.
