You ever discover an ick that you never expected to give you the ick?

‘Cause I just started a fanfic, a Sabriel (Gabriel/Sam, a tea of mine that I enjoy time from time. It had Destiel too— anyway)

And it was Sam’s pov, but first person. This normally doesn’t make me flinch, especially not as much as it just did.

Did I become a fanfic sommelier? (I have been reading fanfiction for a decade. But still)

Who the fuck am I to judge the point of view??

Is this just me???

Warning: Kinda rant-y and just a personal opinion 

This twst gender-neutral fanfic I read was going so well until the author pointed out we were biologically a women. The tags literally said gender-neutral and everything!

 I don’t want ace mentioning I have boobs! (or pointing out I’m am women) (he’s not saying it out loud but still) 😭

[THE TAGS ALSO SAID WE CAN CHOOSE OUR GENDER LIKE. WTF? I DIDN’T CHOOSE THIS??]

I came to read the fanfic cause I feel dethatched to my gender. I don’t want a fanfic to point it out. Feels counterproductive. I feel cheated somehow. 

I don’t hate female reader’s it’s just that I seem to always find the bad ones. The protag doesn’t need to be lusting over a character for a plot line. The protag’s  seem to be sexualized too most times which is unfortunate. (it goes both ways. male reader’s aren’t off the hook.) 

Please for the love of all holy, stop bring up body types and appearance in fanfic’s. Ty.
