This twst gender-neutral fanfic I read was going so well until the author pointed out we were biologically a women. The tags literally said gender-neutral and everything!

 I don’t want ace mentioning I have boobs! (or pointing out I’m am women) (he’s not saying it out loud but still) 😭

[THE TAGS ALSO SAID WE CAN CHOOSE OUR GENDER LIKE. WTF? I DIDN’T CHOOSE THIS??]

I came to read the fanfic cause I feel dethatched to my gender. I don’t want a fanfic to point it out. Feels counterproductive. I feel cheated somehow. 

I don’t hate female reader’s it’s just that I seem to always find the bad ones. The protag doesn’t need to be lusting over a character for a plot line. The protag’s  seem to be sexualized too most times which is unfortunate. (it goes both ways. male reader’s aren’t off the hook.) 

Please for the love of all holy, stop bring up body types and appearance in fanfic’s. Ty.

tokyo revengers x arataki itto! mc [ or just itto himself idk? ]

╰┈➤  this is my first time writing a headcanon for any character so please cut me some slack. :)

i imagine itto in his senior year of high school. yes, there are some really tall middle schooler’s but i can’t really imagine him as a middle schooler in this. i’d like to think of him as a dumb and fun loving older brother figure to some people. so for the sake of this headcanon he’ll be older. 

( i also just realized itto and draken are the same height???? and idk what to feel about that??? )

but anyways-- let’s begin!

╰┈➤ his personality and overall character

• a himbo. ( it’s obvious, this is itto we’re talking about here-- let me explain ;; ) this man i tell you. he’s bright, loud, and confident. always speaks his mind and charges into battle without a second thought. he’s very passionate and can be a bit brash but not in a bad way. he may come off as intimidating sometimes because of his punkish-style and actions but he has a nice heart!

  • not so intellectual. he’s not on the smarter side. i can swear he’s barely passing sometimes; but his gang and kuki wouldn’t let that happen. sure he isn’t smart but that doesn’t mean he’s completely dumb. he just takes longer to understand the subject and that’s ok! people learn at a different pace and itto isn’t made fun of for it! 

• charismatic. somehow some way this man has admirers??? do they have a fan club? maybe? idk? this guy can act dumb but that’s what makes him easy to get along with. it adds to his personality!

• a overall good friend. yes, i’d like to think everyone in the school acknowledges he’s a gang leader but everyone ( who attends the school ) doesn’t really take it seriously. his “gang” is much less of a gang and more of a close group of friends who “accidently” cause trouble or fight people who either: a. threaten the school ( including any student / staff there ) or b. messes with his gang ( friends ).

• can fight. if your a self-proclaimed gang leader you have to at least know how to fight. and know how to fight he can. he’s not just looking good 24/7 he’s really well built too. i can see him to be the type to go to the gym hours on end to fix up his stamina and building up his muscles. 

• decent housewife??? i don’t know about him being the best house wife but he’s really good with kids! he’s very fun loving, so if you ever want him to babysit your kids, they’re bond to have a fun time! because he’s also a kid himself! he without a doubt can cook. unlike raiden. sure, it won’t be 5 star but he tries his best. <333

╰┈➤ his classmates / school’s take on itto

• just a scenario i thought of: it’s the middle of the year and a american foreign exchange student just transfered to itto’s school. they didn’t speak much japanese so they were having a hard time making friends. itto being itto would welcome them with open arms when they arrive. he would definitely learn english just so he could talk to the foreign student and learn about their culture and in exchange would help them with japanese and they’re culture.

• i would like to think itto picked up english pretty easily cause he thought it was cool. so i think he would end up being fluent in english thanks to the foreign exchange student. <33

• i would also like to think he’s somehow the school mascot. like everyone in the school knows him and his gang and he just has a good reputation overall!

• the staff is totally done with itto’s shenanigans and want him to graduate already but they secretly find him humorous. and think he brightens their day. ;;

╰┈➤  his opinions on other gangs and ect.

• who? just kidding-- he already knows they exist! and i think he just doesn’t care about them as long as they don’t step on his territory ( aka. the school he goes to or his homies <33 )

• i’d like to think he finds the middle school delinquents cute in a way? ( at first ) like he’s imagining 4 feet tall students beating up people younger/ older then them. but when he finds out they’re tall as hell he’ll start questioning his existence. ( like what are they feeding y’all??? )

• I don’t think he’ll really go out of his way to fight other gangs really. he’d probably have made kuki make a sick gang uniform tho!

• his gang would mostly help people around the block, hangout in arcades. go to amusement parks and watch movies together! they would all be really close and I would like to think that he would probably let anyone enter his gang. regardless of gender or identity.

• if he had ever got a tattoo it would defiantly be of the oni from his alt. but when he’s at the tattoo parlor he would be howling, screaming, and crying when they actually start inking it. ( I head canon him being a big baby about it. )

• itto would be the self pro-claimed leader but everyone knows the leader is secretly definitely kuki. she’s the voice of reason and would help itto out of situations. probably the reason why she want to be a lawyer. to protect and defend the friends she holds dear.

Ilysm for this. You took all of the words out of my mouth. Some author’s that write gender-neutral reader’s unfortunately tend to hint out the reader’s gender. Regardless of the tags. Like can’t they just fix the tags or something?? Don't get me started on the “OC-based reader’s”. Omg- they always give the most strangest character descriptions. Not only do they tell you what you look like,  they give you the most strangest personality as well as your likes and dislikes. I swear the reader’s always either a douche or a cry-baby. Let’s not forget the over powered reader or “bad-boy reader”. 😭 😭

Warning!!: personal opinion.

so, I have read so many x reader fanfics, and this one thing honestly really annoys me.

Can we stop describing the reader? And by that I mean saying stuff like; her plump lips, silky hair, smooth skin, rosy cheeks, big doe eyes, plush thighs, big t*ts etc.

I mean,it’s supposed to be “x reader” right? Then why are we describing the reader?? It doesn’t make sense, because not everyone can relate to that so called description of “reader”. It almost like your just putting beauty standards into your fic and what you expect the reader to look like.

It would be fine if you said something like; their (hair colour) hair, their (eye colour) eyes etc.

By doing that it’s way easier for the reader to relate to the fic and actually enjoy it, because most people probably wouldn’t want to read a fic that they can’t relate to at all.

So please stop directly describing the looks of the reader, thanks <333

[𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗧𝗖𝗙 𝗜 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞???]

(𝗪𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗔 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗥????)

Cale deals with Burrow by stabbing himself with a piece of the world tree and everything goes to shit. The issue is dealt with but now Cale is in stasis, unmoving. And which seems to be another coma. But, this time he’s not waking up and it’s taking way longer than last time. (The previous being six months, I think(?)). He has so many people waiting for him. (And they can’t handle losing him again).

Nobody is taking this well, especially his kids. That’s where the god of death takes a gamble and decides to bring him somewhere he has a chance to interfere.

And where Cale gets transported to is not where the god of death was expecting. He fucked up big time. And he feels the weight of it.

Of course it doesn’t take long for Cale’s fam to realize he and Raon are missing. Raon? Yeah, he refused to leave Cale even to eat. His older siblings took this hard too. But they wanted to stay hopeful for Cale.

(I would imagine all three of them would sleep next to Cale at night and two eldest would only leave for food or something or the sort).

Obliviously they question (threaten) god and he cracks, telling them he bought Cale (and Raon by accident) to a place he can help him. However, he keeps out the fact that he lost both of them. He’d rather not be killed today.

So you’re probably wondering where Cale and Raon have landed exactly and that’s good old Gotham. :)!! 

(A place within the God of Death’s range but he struggles to identify which timeline and where exactly they landed.)

So Raon and the still unconscious Cale are stuck in Gotham. Roan is undeniably angry, sad, and confused. But he does his best to keep his human safe no matter the cost.

However, people keep trying to either take Cale for whatever purposes be it good or bad. It doesn’t matter. It probably doesn’t help that they landed in the worst place imaginable. Crime Alley….

So it’s not a surprise when there’s a rumor of a pretty red-head being protected by some type of meta(It’s Raon we all know it’s Raon.)

Raon has to continuously move, feed, and protect Cale all the same. 

But damn, a meta in Gotham??? It reaches people’s ears even outside of Crime Alley's territory. Said meta is strong and it’s clear with the abundant amount of property damage. 

We all know this “meta” reaches Red Hood's ears first. I mean come on this is his territory. So when he eventually finds the dubbed “Sleeping beauty” it’s in an abandoned warehouse hidden away in a corner on a mattress next to them some necessities and a bunch of toys. (There are a butt load of plushies :( ). He doesn’t miss the sound of a child sobbing and childish yet grand decor. 

This “meta” was a child…. Fuck.

He’s flung with some magic and piercing screech, earth rumbling at its wake. And damn was he not prepared for this shit.

So here he is staggering to keep up with whoever this kid was, as infuriating as it is. He tries his best to calm the kid down. Which doesn’t really work. The kid’s full on growling, but he’s determined to help the kid. Because an abandoned warehouse is never a safe place to hang out in these parts. 

Despite Red Hood’s offer to bring them to a safe house. Raon refuses, he can’t trust him just yet. And they both understand that this is a game of trust. So Jason takes his chance and occasionally delivers necessities to them both. While Raon doesn’t let him get close to Cale he does slowly but surely warms up to him. One day he does eventually tell him more about Cale. He affectionately calls him his dad but the tone is somber. He whispers his worries about finding him dead one day. And that’s probably the moment Jason emotionally adopts him. 

Now Raon is obviously curious in nature, and much as he wants to explore he can’t past finding things to sustain them both and or keep Cale comfortable. And it’s on one of these outings that he loses Cale in the unfamiliarity. He immediately starts looking and runs into Red Hood at some point in his search. And he trusts him enough to help him look. The two eventually find out Cale’s been kidnapped by either some goons, cultist, some villain? (Whatever adds more tension idk.) Raon is livid because how fucking dare they??? And both Raon and Hood haul ass. The bad guys are dealt with and this leaves the two in silence. 

This is the part of the story where Raon shows himself in a moment of trust and weakness. Cale almost got hurt and all Raon could do now is clutch on to Cale’s night gown, nuzzling into him while sobbing. Now Jason realizes this kid was a fucking baby dragon all along. What. the. Fuck????

So he comforts him the best he can. Jason decides to take care of them both, taking them to either his apartment or safe house. And Raon begrudgingly stays. They both do end up bonding together and Raon gets really comfortable. Idk if Jason would talk about himself much but they do learn about each other at some point. Raon would definitely drop some info about himself at some point and go on about how he’s stuck here because of the god of death. And Jason is both so done and not surprised at this point. 

Cale’s health does end up looking worse for ware at some point. And the problems start up again. I didn’t mention it before but Cale’s mind is stuck in a perpetual loop of old memories, good and bad. SOooo, now this is the part of the story where both Raon and Jason try and wake up Cale using various methods. 

At some point Jason decides to ask Bruce for help. And oh boy. Would this be an awkward family dinner…

basically jason's acquires his now child (raon) and sleeping prince (cale) :D i don't see much of a romance subplot but I do see some gay panics, and mistaken boyfriend scenarios(?) feel free to add on to this mess.
