This time I want to show you some kind of reinterpreted deftones cover I did recently!!!!! :D
Wheeee, going through a bunch of of the sketches I have on my ipad and just finishing them up. Just playing around and trying to have fun with it.
A quick piece I made for sev_thecat‘s artfol winter contest.
My family has an Christmas tradition to watch all the Extended Lord of the Rings Trilogy back to back over one day.
But as we’ve watched them so many times, I usually use them as excuse to eat sweets and sleep against my brothers. It’s always my favourite time of Christmas.
Went with making a moody scene for this using some looser linework and colouring. For another go at digital painting I’m pretty happy with it!
I love looking back at my progress though the year, so this template looked really fun to use. Plus it has some info on it that an my art summary wont have (・ω<)

Happy new Year ٩(๑òωó๑)۶, and here’s my art summary for 2022 to cap it off.
Dispite me making less artwork than I was originaly planning to, this year has actully been really great. I managed to go to a bunch new places, make new freinds, and do things that I’ve wanted to do for years.
Hopfully in 2023 I can start to start on the projects I’ve had planned for ages ^-^

Making these aspec pride wolves is always a joy and challenge >-<. Deciding to only use the flags colours for this year’s really was a choice.. got me to try some new shading and colouring methods tho.

Fruity Dinos for a pattern I’ll make at some point. They’re so cute!!!
Went a bit of a roundabout way of drawing these. First I drew them with promarkers in my sketchbook, and then redrew them digitally to clean the lines up.

The illustrated cover I drew up for @aspecjournal that I’m so proud of! It’s up for preorders right now till March 10th :D
It took so long to get all the colours right as I wanted to get as many aspec colours as I could into the piece. purple for ace // green for aro // yellow and blue for aroace // and black and white for aspec. Plus some red to represent the bonds of fate’s connection (being broken).
I illustrated Fenrir and his two sons Sköll and Hati from norse mythology. Fenrir has always hit something within me, with the theme of destroying the world to be released from bonds forced upon you, and having two children with no reference to another parent.
I’ve always enjoyed reinterpreting monsters and villains stories into something positive, so it should be no surprise I read into his themes with a bit of a cathartic aspec lens.

The a-spectrum has been pretty looked over for a long time with many not even knowing we exist. It’s a very common story for aspecs, even I only discovered the identity a few years ago!
I’m so glad such a large youtuber (and one of my favourites) has been public with their aspec identity. Hopefully this will lead to many more aspecs discovering a refuge in this community. I mean the aromantic tag was in the top 5 for a while, everyone say thank you to Jaiden :P
The aspec community is here to welcome anyone who needs a refuge, even if you do find a different label later down the line.
There’s lots to discover and learn in this community so if you’re interested have a look around and learn something new :D

Been working on designing a shops branding from the ground up for almost a year (wow). It’s not the most exciting thing to talk about, but I’m really proud of what I’ve been doing!!!
Communicating with all of artists took a months as everyone in the shop cooperative had to agree, but I got it done in the end. I’m sure I’ll have more to do soon though...
Spirit of the Festival
Attack against @sukaridragon and their character Sukari!
If you’ve been paying attention you’ve probably noticed a theme with all my mutual attacks (all including Mash interacting with their oc). But after reading Sukari is a dragon-hybrid I had to draw them with Firbet, who’s also a dragon-hybrid!!!!
I imagined that Sukari met Firbet during their travels while a festival was going on or summin. I just want them both to be happy ^~^

Yay I’m so happy with this little dude. I wanted to do a simple paper looking illustrations with some lineless bits.
He came out looking adorable and I’m so proud <3
Mini Painting Selection
My mini 4x4 inch acrylic paintings I made for eurofurence 28!
For these small canvases I wanted to go for some portraits and interesting crops and simplier backgrounds :D.
I'm thinking of making a few more 4x4 inch paintings based odd of diffrent wagashi, as I like how my shimokobai design came out.
Delicate Blossoms
Meduim sized painting I did a while ago which I used to practice white shading and lighting effects. I wanted to try using two diffrent shadow colours to represent a reflective surface.
Plumb Blossoms
Meduim sized painting which I used to try out more intricate patterns and scales particularly. Armadillo shells have a lovely texture which I wanted to replicate ^-^
Through the Falling Rain
First of a set of three landscape pieces I made for eurofurence 2024.
I wanted to try out a very loose scultpural painting style, using structure gel and pallet knives to make abstract landscapes.
Unfotunately this type of art doesn't scan well at all, part because of the 3d aspect, part due to it requiring some distance to cohere into a proper image.
Plus the florecent paint I used is even harder to capture! Whoever gets this piece will have the best veiw of it as some things just can't be replicated digitally!!
Through the Falling Snow
Second of a set of three landscape pieces I made for eurofurence 2024.
This piece represents going through city outskirts, the transition peroid between a built up area and the wilderness.
The sunset effect of this piece is my favourite gradient I made out of the three. As the choppyness of the paint mimics a cloudy sky surprisingly well, yipeeee.

Final of a set of three landscape pieces I made for eurofurence 2024.
This piece was tricky to get right, as getting the feeling of moving forwards was difficult to pin down.
Deciding between acending or decending stairs, or going into or outof the painting, hmmmmmm. I'm happy with what I decided though, a much more mystical piece compared to the last two >-0.
