Hi! Love your texture replacements! Was wondering if you have ever made any texture replacements for some of the foods in game or any plans to do so?

Hello anon! :-D thank you for your kind words, I’m glad you like them 🥺 as for food replacements >:-D I’m so glad you asked!!

I mentioned in my “adventures in SimPE” post last year that I’m currently defaulting ALL of EA’s ep/sp food (it’s a big project but it’s so much fun!), I’m improving textures + making them all vegan. I’m also fixing details (both mesh + texture fixes) and the thing I’m most excited about, is my new texture system! Originally, every food has its own textures, like this:

but instead of doing it like that, I’m making every food share textures! Like this:

this means that instead of having bellpepper textures in every food’s “-ingredients” texture, all bellpeppers now share this “foodprep-bellpeppers” texture! Because of this, I can replace them with much higher quality + resolution textures, which is exactly what I’ve done :-D vague description, but I hope it makes sense :-)

It’s pretty time consuming since I have to re-map a lot and make new/improve textures, and also sometimes replace meshes with better ones (but not too high poly ofc!). I have “finished” some foods already, but I'm not 100% happy with them, so I don’t think I want to show them just yet (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) but I will! Sometime soon :-D
