Hayden/Hayley Dayvis [m/f] — 31

A sharp, hard-headed police lieutenant who is determined to rein in the chaos happening in Assay City — and that includes bringing a certain spandex-ed vigilante to justice. Unfortunate, considering that they were also once your best friend, college sweetheart and life partner all rolled into one. But all that changed two years ago with a messy separation worthy of a TS hit song. It almost feels as though they can't stand the very sight of you now. Can that spark between the two of you be rekindled once again?

Scott/Stelle Barnes [m/f] — 33

Your colleague at your newest job whom you share desks with. Easily flustered but cheerful and warm-hearted, S is quick to make you feel welcome in the office. While they're an ordinary office worker with an ordinary 9 to 5 job, their admiration for your vigilante identity is just a little over the top. With you regularly running from your computer to take extended "bathroom breaks", will S catch on to your real identity?

House of Libra: Resurgemus is an upcoming interactive fiction inspired by the zodiac signs. You will have the freedom to explore the story and its characters with depth, so questions and various asks are greatly encouraged! This series will be 16+ (TBC), on Twine.

Features:

Play as a male, female or non-binary person. Have the freedom to choose your appearance based on what you like.(Please take note that I am a new writer, as such I do not have much experience with writing non-binary characters/pronouns. Please bear with me!)

Shape your character and personality, should you be kind, cold or a sassy boss, the choice is yours.

Build relationships- or break them if you wish. The choice is yours, but your actions will have consequences.

Have a say in the way your back story is woven. Choose your desired trauma that will affect certain plots of the story.

Choices matter. Your actions and words will influence the ending you achieve, so be wise with how you wish to shape your story.

Romance ranges between the 4 given options, shower them with your own type of affection for they will adore you nonetheless. Or you could lead them to their deaths. Woopsie.

Choose your relationship with your family. Are you a loving family? Or do you constantly need family therapy? Choose their fates as well (but don't kill all of them, that's kinda mean.)

Gain new skills and various powers that will aid you in your journey. But be warned, will they great power comes great responsibility. And a greater chance of messing things up.

Various endings will (hopefully) be available based on your choices.

This IF will be more focused on interactions and choices compared to stats. I don't think I plan on having stats. Maybe a sanity bar, but I'll see how well the coding goes.

Age: 26

The eldest child of House Leo, Avira/Aurelius is the epitome of the zodiac's charms. Charismatic, ambitious and loyal to a fault, there's no wonder why they're called by the admirable title of House Leo's Golden Lion. They are expected to take over the ruling throne once their father retires.

Although, with every envied perfect child comes a chamber of secrets, and they are no different. Guarded eye(s) and tense shoulders, they seem constantly restless under judgmental gazes of everyone in the kingdom.

Perhaps, you may be able to give them the freedom they long for. After all, a lion in a castle is still a caged lion.

Castora/Castor Dioscuri, [RO]

Age: 24

The renowned child of House Gemini, they are known for their sharp mouth and playful personality. Castora/Castor remains as the number one It Girl/Guy of the kingdom as they're not only captivating in nature, but they too posses a brilliant mind like no other. Having them on your side would be quite advantageous, no?

There's something off putting about them though, as the House of Gemini have always borne children that are twins no matter how different. Yet, Castora/Castor remains as the only member of House Gemini to be born alone.

Will you dig deeper into their depths? Or will you drown in their eyes, just like everyone else? With them, you are never alone.

Esme/Esmeray von Aquaria, [RO]

Age: 28

Some people call them cursed.

And to others, they were simply unlucky as a child for straying too far.

Esme/Esmeray is a child of House Aquarius, yet they couldn't despise it enough. Known for being one if the most influential houses due to their unyielding intelligence, a child of House Aquarius must be perfect in the eyes of others.

Yet Esme/Esmeray is the exact opposite of that. Cursed by the effects of Zodiac Aura when they were younger, they carry the mark of the Waxing Moon. This affected their life despite protection given, and they will not rest until they slay the beast that hurt them so.

They have a cold and distant personality, paired with one of the brightest minds in the kingdom only to be rivaled by the child of House Gemini. Will you be the one to thaw this icy heart? Or will you suffocate in the depths of Aquaria?

The forgotten children of the banished zodiac. Nobody remembers how this House used to flourish as they are now called the Followers of Ophiuchus. Scorned by the lands and cursed by the stars, the last surviving followers live in hiding. Now, they are nothing but tales woven in time.

Well, that's for everyone else. Nyoka just so happens to be your childhood friend, having been born under the same moon and stars aligned. They used to be docile and caring, but times have changed and so have they. Don't fret, little star, for they still have a soft spot for you.

They have an unusual appearance, with a long and sturdy sea-snake tail paired with sharp semi-curved horns. Their dark eyes seem to pull you in, rivaling the stars above.

But the mutation is spreading, and they've no clue how much time they have left. Save them, if you must. Or watch the one you once loved die.

Romance trope:

Angst. Just angst. And maybe fluff.

I am a new writer (this is my first interactive fiction project.) so not everything will be smooth sailing.

I estimate the demo to come out mid this year, but personal matters may change some things.

This is my passion project. Please don't expect me to dedicate all my time onto this as I have a life as well.

I'm very new to coding, so learning twine will take a while. I'll have to do a few test runs before releasing the demo.

I adore feedback and asks about the game. It helps me improve as a writer while getting to build my characters more.

Yes, it will be brought up, and they will act differently towards you (some more than others) if you romance the other; however, you can still flirt with both, just be warned that they might not take that kindly.

💛 Marcel

Marcel would never forgive himself; he would feel so guilty and do everything in his power to make it right. I could see him surprising you with something you really loved, like a night out at your favorite restaurant or watching your favorite movie, and trying to make it as special for you as possible. 

💙 Rosemary

Rosemary would test the waters; she is very good at reading people, so if you were upset, she would know. If you weren't upset, she would apologize to you, of course, over dinner or in private. If she could tell that you were upset, then that would be a whole other story. She knows how it feels to be disappointed, especially with a partner, and would try to fix it the best way she knew how with....romance. She is romantic at heart, so she would get all your friends and family to help set up a private moment between just the two of you. So you would be surprised when she drove you up to a romantic spot with fairy lights in the trees and a picnic basket that your aunt packed with all your favorite deserts. 

❤️ Owen

On the outside, it would seem that he didn't care at all that he missed your birthday, but on the inside, he would be so full of guilt. So anything you wanted, you got for a week. You need the trash taken out. Owen has it handled. You need to babysit Jezebel? Owen will help you get her to bed. You might not even notice it at first how Owen is buzzing around you like a bee. 

🧡 Margaret

Break down and cry. How could she do this to you? Her family always went big on birthdays and holidays, and this was no different, and she ruined yours. As soon as Margaret found out what she had done, she would jump into your arms and ask you to forgive her. I could see her buying you flowers and chocolates, even if you said you were fine. She would continue to do it until you finally had a sit-down conversation with her and told her that you had forgiven her. 

🩵 Tai

Tai would mentally kick himself. How could he forget your birthday? What kind of partner was he? Honestly, he would have a dramatic monologue in his head about how he was the worst partner ever until someone, whether it be Rosemary or Owen, told him to stop having a pity party. So to make it up to you, he made a romantic dinner. Food is something he has a passion for, and you are someone he loves dearly, so why not treat you to your favorite dish, no matter if it is junk food or unhealthy? Hell, it could be greasy hamburgers from the dinner up the street, and he would still serve them. 

💚 Zane

Zane would try to play it off that he didn't forget at all and try to plan something big for you, like a party with all your family and friends, even going as far as to help Marcel invite people since he isn't good in a social setting, which he would never speak of that he asked for help.

When your MC is at the relationship stage with Marcel, he has already fallen so hard for you. The MC could hit him with a bus, and he would still ask if the MC was okay, so a little bite wouldn't bother him, but he would ask why the MC was doing it, but if it was because you just wanted to, Marcel wouldn't see much harm from it. 

🧡Margaret

Margaret would be a blushing mess and would hide on your shoulder, but she wouldn't mind much.

❤️Owen

The older gentleman scoundrel would rather do it to you than to him, but if it is something you really want, he could make that sacrifice.

💙Rosemary

She would be surprised the first time it happened but wouldn't bat an eye the next time it happened, like...

Okay, so MC likes to do this. Alright. I can get with this. 

🩵Tai

Yes! Why would you want to do that? But in all honesty, he would roll his eyes when you did it and tell you to act your age, but a shiver would go up his spine, and later in bed, he would ask you to do it again. 

💚Zane

Nope! As long as the MC doesn't mind getting bitten back harder! lol

I love the update! My favorite has to be my lovley Margaret. Is there something about the RO's that, if the PC found out, they would be embarrassed?

Marcel might be ashamed of so many things from his past, but not his hobbies. He would want to introduce you to bird watching and reading, something he enjoys a great deal, and while he might be a tiny bit worried you'll find him boring, he would understand if it wasn't your thing. 

🧡 Margaret

I can see her being a little embarrassed about her inexperience with relationships. She is so new to everything and would be so worried about ruining it for the both of you if you were in a relationship. 

❤️ Owen

This one is a little harder for me, like Marcel. I would say that Owen is ashamed of a lot of things, but I think he doesn’t get embarrassed about anything that has happened in his past, hobbies, or even embarrassing moments. I could honestly just see him shrugging at you when you questioned him about something embarrassing he did and be like,

"Yeah? And?" 

💙 Rosemary

No. Rosemary is very in tune with herself and doesn't get embarrassed by much, but she does have a soft spot in her heart for romance and cheesy things that I could see her getting a little defensive about. 

🩵 Tai

Yes, but it would be in a very angry tone. Tai definitely keeps things close to his chest, like his love for cooking and western movies, so I imagine if you were to ask him about it, he would get angry until he realized that you were just curious, which he would force himself to apologize to you.  Although if you looked interested, he might cook for you or drop a western movie for you to watch. to bond with you.

💚 Zane

Yes! He does have his guilty pleasures; one that your character will be introduced to is that he loves kid cartoons. Which is very cute until he starts yelling at the TV to make the characters fight each other. He will be embarrassed when you find out in the main story. 

Have you ever thought about what are the respective ROs ages? I know MC is 25/26 in the Demo, but I'm curious on the ROs ages too since it was never mentioned (other than Anu, if im not mistaken haha)

This was answered before but I've given a very loose age range since it's not something that will come up in the game.

Someone disguises as MC to dig out information from the ROs about some sort of secret information.... Can they figure it out before it's too late? 😅😅😅😅 Can Aunt Zinnia?

🏹 Zinnia:

100% Yes. Not because Zinnia is a talented hunter of the supernatural, but because the MC is her niece/nephew/nibling. She has been with the MC since their parents died, and she will continue to be with the MC for as long as they will have her. The very second the MC does something out of the ordinary, her eyes are on them.

💛 Marcel:

I think it would take them time, but eventually, he would figure out that something was wrong with the MC. First, he would probably chalk it up to the MC being sick or something, but when it starts to get more constant, he is immediately suspicious. 

🧡 Margaret:

Ooo, this is a hard one. I am going to have to say no, not because Margaret wouldn't realize that the MC was acting differently, but because I think she would believe that something else was going on with the MC, like feeling sick or tired. Margaret is a sweetheart, but she is native and doesn't have that much experience with supernaturals, even though she is one herself. 

❤️ Owen:

I would probably be the last one to notice that the MC was acting strange. Not that he doesn't care, but he just has a lot of other stuff on his mind, so the "MC" would have to mess up real bad or it would take time for Owen to fugure it out. The moment Owen does figure it out, he has the imposter strapped to a chair. He is impulsive and right out and starts questioning the MC. 

💙 Rosemary:

I believe yes, Rosemary has a lot of walls up, even if sometimes it doesn't seem like it, so if the MC started to try to ask too many questions, especially ones they already know the answer to, she would be 100 percent suspicious. She wouldn't say anything, though; she would play the long game until she trapped the fake MC in a corner and used their own words against them. 

🩵 Tai:

Oh, God. Tai is already dissecting everything the MC says to him, particularly romances. Thus, he would likely be one of the first ROs to notice something was amiss. My prediction would be within the next hour. Tai is quickly skeptical of any strange action or attitude from MC, no matter how slight. Tai will subtly probe and question the false MC about memories. I could honestly see him acting strangely nicer to see the "MC" reaction.

💚 Zane:

Yes, but only if it affected him. Zane is a creature of habit, so if the MC and he had a routine, especially when they were a couple or in a close friendship, he would instantly know something was wrong. He would totally be suspicious and ask Zinnia if she noticed anything different with you, which would ultimately be the "MC" downfall. 

Say that Mc get pregnant how would the Ro's act, the Aunt, and maybe Dad (Devil Daddy)?

Thank you so much for the ask! Devil Daddy omg I LOVE THAT. To be clear, the fem MCs, or female ROs, are able to get pregnant. I have to say that it would depend on the relationship stage of all the characters. If the MC and the male RO's were in the deep relationship stage (and the pregnancy wasn't planned) , it would end up like this:

🏹 Zinnia

I honestly think that it would matter who MC's partner was—Zane and Owen—she would probably try to kill before the MC stopped it. Although, in the long run, she would be so excited to be a great auntie, she would be scared of the MC's health. Aster had a hard and tough pregnancy, so that worry would be there until the birth. MC would get handed small vials of weird things to help with the baby's development. She would buy the baby clothes and toys. Zinnia would plan a party and make sure that the MC relaxed. 

🦁 Lazuli

If the MC had a good relationship with him (which you can decide in the IF), he would tear up with happiness. He was getting a second chance at being there for a child who had his blood. A second chance to make it up to the MC for not being there for Aster and them when they needed it. Laz would constantly ask if there was anything that the MC needed or wanted, and he would get it for them with a snap of their fingers. He would also have a talk with the RO's separately and give them a talk about being there for you, or he would rip their heads off their would be consequences.

💛 Marcel

Ecstatic! Marcel loves children; he has experience raising them, so he would make sure to tell the MC everything there was to expect and to not worry because he'll be there every step of the way. However, that doesn't mean he doesn't educate himself. Marcel would buy every parenting book on the planet since medicine has come a long way from when he was alive, even bothering Tai with questions. 

❤️ Owen

He would think the MC was joking at first until he realized it wasn't a joke and was going to be a father, and he would get excited and spin the MC around in the air before sitting them down in a hurry because he thought he had hurt the baby. Although he does get more protective of the MC, I think he is better at hiding it than Tai. He would just always stay close to MC, just where he could see them, to make sure they were okay.

He would have a battle plan in place for probably every scenario. A lot of soft touches towards the MC and laying a hand on the curve of the belly on instinct. He would build his own crib and toys out of wood so that his child would have everything crafted just for them. 

🩵 Tai

For the first time in his life, Tai wouldn't know what to say. Honestly, his brain would stop working for at least an hour after the MC told him until he snapped out of it. Tai would be worried all the time when the MC isn't by him that he probably gets a few gray hairs. He would be a total helicopter parent towards the MC, always by their side in case they needed anything or didn't. He would check the MC's vitals every day to make sure the baby was healthy. Make a list of the foods that the MC can't eat, and honestly, try to put the MC on a healthier diet for the baby's sake if the MC is prone to shove junk food in their mouth. 

💚 Zane

God, I feel so bad for the MC because the first words out of Zane's mouth would be, "Can we still have sex?" He really doesn't have his priorities straight 😅, but he would be accepting of the pregnancy if this was something that MC wanted. I think that he would be smug throughout the whole pregnancy, especially as the MC's stomach grows, practically saying to everyone, "I did that." However, don't expect him to do anything on his own. Zane would get stuff done if the MC told him to do something like right away during the pregnancy, but if the MC doesn't speak up, he will continue to be out of the loop about what the MC is feeling.

I think that it finally sets in when he feels the baby kick or goes to see an ultrasound, and the doctor points out the baby. It would be right then that Zane realized that he was about to be a father. He was having a baby with the MC. Zane would have this feeling that he has never felt before that he freaks out and would have to leave for a day or two to get his mind around it, promising the MC he would be right back. And he is. It might seem like nothing has changed, but the MC would tell. Little things around the house start getting done (without asking him to do it). Maybe a pile of laundry or MC's pregnancy craving snack is on the table. Just little things to help MC.

If the ROs had to end their relationship with the MC how would they act / what would of caused them to (also sorry english english is not the best)

Out of all the ROs, realistically, both guys would not end their relationship with the MC but since this is hypothetical...

Irus: He'd be unable to look at the MC and act distant with them when breaking up. The reason would have to be something really unforgivable where the MC has either hurt him or gone against him in an act of betrayal.

Elora: She would be direct and tell the MC that she wants to end the relationship. Elora would only break up with the MC if she's fallen out of love with them and sees no point in continuing the relationship.

Oren: Oren would try to be compassionate with the MC when he breaks up with them. He'd only break up with the MC if he thinks it will be the best thing for the MC if he wasn't in their life.

Anu: Anu would be brash and abrupt with the MC when she breaks up with them. The main reason she'd break up with them is if the MC showed some sort of support/acceptance of what the Blood Guard did in Ishari.

Holy shit I almost had a heart attack when I started the demo because I used to live in Spookytown, Massachusetts right by a 1/2 Buffum Street house. I guess I'm fated to love your story!

I hope I didn't scare you too badly. I honestly just used random street names, but maybe it is fate! I am glad that you enjoyed my work!

Thank you for enjoying them. Honestly, those characters have gone through so many changes. For example, Tai was actually going to be more like Marcel, although more uptight. As I started writing him, I couldn't help but write him as a cranky old man stuck in a young man's body. Lol. 

Ah, Zane, my confused baby with a love for homicide. I can't wait to explore more of that relationship, friend or partner, because he is such a fun character to write! 

Yes, Margaret is as sweet as sugar, and the rest of the retainers will protect her, especially Owen.

Horrified look on her face. Her maximum number of kids would be 2 if she had to carry them. 4 If you were carrying them, surrogate, or adoption.

"Yeah....I can make that work..."

💚 Zane:

Frowns. "Why?" You explain, and Zane just shrugs and pushes you on the bed.

"What? We better have fun while we can before we become parents, and we are too tired all the time."

ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP STAGE:

💛 Marcel

Would low-key find MC's pout adorable and be amused by the MC's behavior, but would try to fix it the best way they can by buying something the MC enjoys—food, games, et cetera—to turn that pout back into a smile. 

🧡 Margaret

Using her puppy eyes a little to get you to tell her what she did, then, like Marcel, she would try to make up for her actions, but I don't think it would be from a place of amusement like Marcel but from a place of guilt. This relationship is important to her and her first one so she would be very nervous about this "fight."

❤️ Owen

He would raise an eyebrow at the pout and ask the MC what was wrong. Owen doesn't play games, especially when it comes to arguments, no matter how small, so he would ask outright what he could do to make the MC feel better or forgive him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't think that MC's little pout is adorable. Once the argument was all done and over, I could see him teasing the MC about it. 

💙 Rosemary

Rosemary would say sorry, and if the MC was still pouting, she would roll her eyes and be unbothered, even if it was kind of cute that the MC pouted around her in a dramatic fashion. Rosemary knows the MC will come back around to her eventually, especially if they are in a deep relationship. She fully trusts the MC, and when the MC does come back, she will make sure to smother them with kisses. 

🩵 Tai

Tai would be frustrated by it, as he does not like to be ignored, especially if he sees the argument as not that big of a deal. However, the moment he sees that pout, all his resolve breaks, and he would apologize to the MC in a gentle manner—well, gentle for Tai at least. 

💚 Zane

Mmmm, I want to say he would feel guilty even more so when he saw the pout, but knowing Zane, he wouldn't see it as guilt and more as anger because what did he have to be sorry for? than he would think that anger was pointed at MC and not himself. 😮‍💨MC and Zane would have a pout standoff, and in the end, it would have to be the MC who has to approach Zane. 

So how would the Ro's I guess boss (example: wraith) act to them dating Mc?

SPOILERS!!!

🐸 Citrine/Greed: Amusement. Pure chaotic amusement. Citrine sees humans as entertainment and as having their own advisor, Marcel, in the "show," which is like getting front-row seats to the Prince of Greed. 

🐷 Topaz/Gluttony: As of right now, he would not like it at all; it goes completely against the rules, and while he doesn't have any ill intent towards Margaret, he would have to order her to stop the relationship, but that doesn't mean his mind can't be changed in the future, where Gluttony would be more lenient. But I honestly think the only way for him to completely support the couple is if the law is changed so demons can date mortals or the couple finds a loophole. 

🐻 Agate/Wraith: Soooo mad I mean, Owen and Agate respect each other a lot, so Agate will/would feel betrayed by Owen for sure when he finds out that Owen was actually in love with the MC and not just sleeping around with them to get information (although that really isn't Owen's style) or to let off some steam. 

🦊 Opal/Lust: Worry. Not only for Rosemary but for MC. Them being together would put the couple at risk. Opal likes Rosemary not only because she is a talented courtesan and retainer of her court but because she is quite like Opal's own daughter. She knows Rosemary's past and trauma. Plus, Opal wouldn't want to lose her to the dangers of the MC and Rosemary being together. 

🦥 Beryl/Sloth: Lol, Sloth would not care! Honestly, she would fully support the couple. Sloth has known Tai for a very long time, and while it was great to tease him about getting with her niece/nephew/nibling a small part of her is happy; he found happiness. Beryl teasing Tai, be like...

"Maybe she/they/he will be able to remove that stick from your ass, huh?" 

Tai groans. "My Lady, may we please get off the topic of my bottom and relationship?" 

I don't know if you wanted me to do Envy because Zane is technically Haoss's servant, while Envy is Zane's father, so I will do both of them! 

🐍Peridot/Envy: Happy for Zane! Not only has Zane found a healthy relationship with the MC, but his son is dating Laz's kid (his favorite brother), so he would be a big supporter. There will be a lot of gushing about their kids between Laz and Peridot. 

⚫️ Pandemonium/Haoss:

Shadows cower in fear as a coldness seeps into the room.

To answer your question, Tai has no idea that the MC has a crush on him. 

Shy! MC: Tai thinks this is how you are with everyone or maybe sees it as just your personality. 

Flirty! MC: You just want to see him look foolish; that is the only reason in Tai's mind that you would be acting like this! Or that you are just making fun of him. 😤
