and just. i domt think people actually get how sad it is the affects of staying back in Derry was :. Having to life constantly surrounded by your own trauma and, i know he was so interested in derry and it made him excited to learn about but i cant imagine the. Psychological shit that mike had to deal with everyday. he had nobody in derry, he barely saw even Carol. all he had were books he had to study constantly or else hed die

So thats not a realistic option and I’d imagine that if Bev had anything more to her crush (very possible) she’d accept the reality that it isnt gonna happen and she’d also be pretty down for the fact that she can date literally anyone else she wants Ever, like, shes a mega celebrity she can bag anyone she wants ..
and Ben. to me personally, i think its Really important to adhere to canon and follow the rules of what could plausibly happen within the book, but thats just my way of thinking, and in a realistic sense, i think if the book had gone on and gone into detail about bev and ben and if they somehow would remember each other, they would’ve made it so beverly gently declines ben or says that they’ll have to both think about it while they get closer and whatever, and ben would be fine with it because, since its post-finale, hes gotten through his fears and he knows life will be fine even when one of his fears came true. but also, he has known all along he never needed Beverly to love him back. hes always been okay with loving her from a distance. even when bev rejects him, he’d go on loving her and it would all stay the same. and he’s happy. Beverly also just showed no interest in Ben other than being friends. She loves ben with all her heart but in a platonic way, and that’s all that matters. She still loves him on that level, just in a different way.
