Is the reason men go insane trying to comprehend things that cannot be comprehended like Cthulhu is because of pride?
We can only describe what they aren't, because we can only comprehend what we know, so we try to place everything we know in its place, only for us to realize that we cannot. Is that what makes us truly mad? Is it not the monster it self, but the pride within us that refuses to accept the fact that we cannot understand a being. Is that what drives man mad? Not the fact that a monster looks like what it does, but out inability to comprehend it, and then our inability to accept that we can't?

In that scenario Webby would be Wilfred Mott (Donna's grandpa). She would be actively looking for Scrooge and trying to learn more about him while encouraging her granny to go with him. Plus, she would totally face a Dalek with a paint gun during a Dalek apocalypse and you know it.
Imagine the Doctor Donna situation with Scrooge and Beakley:
