apparently i just needed one more pull for a 5-star (76 pity, was at 75 before firefly+ruan mei banners ended)
wanted to wait for jiaoqiu but apparently i dont have enough self restraint to actually decide maybe i should wait for near the end of the banner so the next update gets announced and his kit is actually talked about and i can decide if i want him or jade
but when have i ever thought logically. (its probably not a good idea for me to be a gacha player 😭)
in.. any case. now i can start saving up for aven. like i promised at the start of this update like 'i dont want anyone from this update' (but fireflys fun to play?? i have discovered the team comp of 1 main damage dealer and 2 supports and its a lot of damage. so then i was trying to get ruan mei. gave up at the last few days. but turns out i probably couldve gotten her if i spent more time so uh hUh... didnt want jade but. okay its probably a dumb play and i should put her on a herta team. but im selfish and wanna put her on my main team even if she wont do as much dmg. i just need another support for 5-star dan heng. ..and i probably couldve gotten trailblazer or like literally anyone else (that i have) but this is what i get for acting before i think. yay. in any case when i have more characters built i will try to give them better teams that utilize them to their full potential, like jade with actual other erudition. ive honestly only finished maxing out half of the team though so its going to be a slow progress getting all the materials agh)

I have a friend that absolutely HATES Jade and the IPC, but then her favorite character is Aventurine. Be consistent 😭
One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people hate on Jade because they say she's a horrible person. She's not. She's morally gray. In her Lightcone, it says she donates to orphanages and spends time with the children. She's not a good person, but she isn't terrible.
She's not good nor bad, she's gray. That's why I like her. She's not your usual fairytale Disney character that's either bad or good. It's good character making is what she is.
That's why I enjoy Ghibli movies so much. The "villians" aren't horrible people. In several movies, the "bad guys" have reasonable motives and reasons for their actions.
Lady Eboshi? She wants the best for Iron Town and her people by helping the economy grow but goes about it in a bad way.
She's a good character because she's not good or bad. Jade is a similar way. She does good and bad things. Hate me if you must but I will block you.
