A/n: just a random idea I got and I thought it was absolutely hilarious so I just had to write it hehe

“Mooooooooom!”
You heard a yell and thumping on the stairs from your place in the kitchen where you were doing your best to make the tiramisu cake while keeping an ear out for your seventeen year old daughter.
As if following in her mum's genetic footsteps, she looked so much like her dad, only with her hair being similar to your own- long and brown. Her eyes were black and her face had that ever-present sleepiness that her father had too.
“Mom, where's dad?” you heard her ask, “I need his help with something”
But while you were keeping your eyes and focus on the melting pot in front of you, you didn’t really pay attention to what was leaving your mouth.
“He went out to get milk” you responded, eyes zeroing in on what you were supposed to add next into the mixture in front of you.
Meanwhile, Artemis’ gut dropped.
Went out to get milk???
THEY'RE DIVORCING????
She quickly let out a choked okay and ran back up the stairs, hearing you absentmindedly call out to her; for the thousand time, do not run up the stairs Artemis!
“ANTON!” the brown-haired girl yelled bursting into her twin's bedroom.
The boy had features eerily similar to their aunt (ironically) with a dash of their dads more prominent features; his nose and eye shape namely. His green eye-colour almost felt out of place. His black hair was pushed back by the headset he wore.
“What is it ‘mis?” he groaned, words dripping with annoyance as he put pause on his game.
“Dad went out to get milk,” she said, her voice grave.
Anton merely raised an eyebrow at her and laughed, mocking her.
“Ha ha ‘mis,” he said, voice deadpan, just like his dad’s, “that's a good one.”
“Mum's words” she interrupted him, her black eyes wide and hand on the door trembling, “not a joke.”
Anton stared at her, for long ten seconds, waiting for the impending moment when she would say “SIKE!” and laugh at his blank expression.
But the moment never came.
“They're seriously divorcing?” he wondered aloud, eyes clouded with betrayal, “Without telling us?”
“I don't know,” Artemis murmured.
“Mum? And dad?” he kept repeating to himself, “Those two are obsessed with each other…?”
Artemis only stood quietly at the door.
But then she got a brilliant idea.

“Jay, did you get the milk?” you asked in a hurry seeing your husband at the entrance of the kitchen.
“Yeah” he responded, panting heavily, passing his wife the carton of milk, “I hurried As much as I could hon.”
He stood behind the island in the middle of the kitchen watching you fret over the tiramisu.
“Hand it over” you reached over, taking it from his grasp, “I need to hurry up so it can cool before that maniac Sunghoon comes.” you huffed, sounding annoyed, knowing you wanted the tiramisu to be the best as possible because both you and Jay missed your good friend.

“Mom, dad?” Anton called from the door of the living room with Artemis next to him, holding a laptop. “Can we talk to you guys?” he asked cautiously.
You should have known that your two teenagers were up to something the moment they asked that.
They’re never this polite.
“It's serious” Artemis supplied quickly.
You blinked, surprised.
“Sure”, you murmured, separating from the huge shelf next to the window, walking over to the couch where your husband was already sitting.
“Is everything okay?” Jay asked, face scrunching in worry.
Your twins only looked at each other as Artemis plugged the laptop to the TV and fixed her blazer.
Wait.
Blazers?
“Why are you two wearing suits?” You asked.
“Mum, wait please” Anton requested, with an air of an exasperated lawyer, “all will be explained in due time.”
Your eyebrows raised and you and Jay made quick eye contact as your children started bickering about something.
“So.” Artemis started. “We are all here today, present to discuss-”
“Plead” Anton added, making Jay squint at his son.
“Your not-so-impending divorce.”
“Wait what?” You interrupted, confused
“Who's getting divorced?? Jay asked surprised, feeling a good decade being shaved off his life.
Anton and Artemis looked beyond stressed.
They looked at each other and Artemis spoke up.
“Mum said that you went out to get milk and-”
“Artemis, baby,” you interrupted her in a gentle voice, seeing your younger almost in tears, “I was making tiramisu for when your uncle comes,” you explained, “your dad literally went out to buy milk.”
The two boys looked lost and Artemis was slowly starting to look embarrassed.
“Why would you even get that impression?” Jay was confused, “Why would I want to divorce your mother?”
“You know dad,” Anton said with a dead look in his eye, “we know you're a simp. It's more about what mum wants.”
At that you burst out into laughter, getting up to hug your kiddos and caress their hair, listening to Jay's outraged sounds in the background.
“You don't have to worry about a thing my darlings,” you told them gently, before your face took on a more serious look, “And even if it does come down to divorce, that's NOT how you're finding out.”
“WHY ARE YOU STILL TALKING ABOUT DIVORCE” Jay cried.
~ Of course, this story was later told to Sunghoon who came to visit them and naturally his reaction was to burst into laughter and mercilessly tease both Jay and his niece and nephew (you probably wouldn't have been spared if you hadn't shot him a threatening look and a promise of taking away the tiramisu).

IX – Expensive and Illegal
From all you’d seen of him, you had expected Park Jonseong to be a cocky biker with an ego larger than life, but he was nothing like that at all. You hadn’t been talking to him for long—the distance between the tracks and the car section of the Death Valley Garage wasn’t much—but you were already learning more about him. He was a second-year business management major at Suwon National as well, who had moved from Washington, USA for university. One thing had led to another and here he was now, the ace of a decently popular illegal biking ring. His softer, mellower personality—at least, compared to everyone else you’d met so far—was the complete contrast of what anyone would picture from that description, but somehow it fit him. The only part of his personality that fit the cocky biker image you had of him in your head was his tendency to crack flirty, but still bashfully ‘Jay’ jokes.
And that was all he was doing now. He was leading you through a separate part of Death Valley Garage, lined with cars you weren’t sure were legal, and cracking jokes all the while. Most of them were lame and cornier than anything, but seeing him smile was something you found yourself enjoying more and more.
Jay smiled particularly wide as he made his way to a sleek, grey car with a smooth and modern design. He patted the hood of the car gently, a fond look in his eyes, before looking back up at you. “Here’s our ride for the night.”
“Wow, it looks…” you trailed off, fully taking in the car.
It looked brand new and spotless, the top coat of paint still fresh and untouched by anything. The moon’s rays reflected off the shiny, glossy grey covering most of the car’s body, complimenting its cool hue. From where you were standing, you could see a few details Jay had probably added—a thin, black line tracing the edges of the car, a custom-made licence plate printed with his name, and a tiny print of something you couldn’t see along the inner border of the hood.
It screamed many things at you, but it mainly screamed two things. You spared Jay a glance. “It looks expensive and illegal.”
He laughed. “Yeah, it is—well, it was legal before I got it modded. It’s a newer model too, so it wasn’t easy getting my hands on it.”
Your eyes widened, as you whistled underneath your breath. “A newer model? You must be fucking loaded if you can afford this. How much does racing pay?”
“Actually, I got it from a race. Everyone bet their cars instead of money, and I won so now this baby’s mine.” He pulled out his key, pressing a button to unlock the car, which replied with a smooth beep. “I don’t think I ever raced as hard as I did that day. I mean, this is a 2021 edition of a Genesis G70 we’re talking about. The horsepower on this thing alone is insane, and…”
The rest of Jay’s words went in one ear and out the other. You didn’t mean to blank out, you were genuinely trying to pay attention to his words, but the terms he was using weren’t words you were used to at all. Instead of actually taking in his words, you nodded along to his words now and then, staring at his lips.
He paused, snapping you out of your daze. As you realised he’d caught onto your staring, a smug smirk stretched his lips. “Are you even listening to me?”
Suddenly, the floor was very interesting to look at, and you studied the skid marks on the concrete floor instead of Jay’s face. You mumbled, “No, but if it’s any consolation, you’re really pretty.”
“Hm, what was that?”
You considered repeating the words to him, but the faint sound of running engines and chatter reminded you of where you were. You shook your head and gestured for Jay to get into the car. “Ah, never mind. You have a race to get to, remember?”
Opening the driver’s door, he corrected you with a soft smile. “We have a race to get to. You’re my good luck charm, don’t forget that.”
A smile was itching to break out on your lips at that, but you resisted the urge and ducked into the passenger’s seat of the car instead.
Eyes widening, you marvelled immediately at the interior. Just like the exterior, it was mainly made of cool tones. Cream leather covered the seats, and even parts of the gears, complimenting the all-black controls in front of you. The same modern look the outside carried was maintained throughout the inside; the main touch-screen monitor and seamless buttons were just two, among many, of the gadgets the car held.
While you were admiring the interior, Jay slipped into the car, and you couldn’t help but think the design complimented him. His simple, yet effective outfit made of a plain, white tank, dark leather pants, and a dark leather jacket contrasted well against the car’s cream seats. And, then, his dark hair tinged with gold highlights completed the touches of grey on the controls. He looked like he was in his element–he was in his element–checking and double-checking the height and position of his chair like it was something he’d been doing since he was born. You wouldn’t be surprised if he had been doing this since he was born.
With a final adjustment of his chair, he buckled in and started the car with a simple press of a button. There wasn’t the roar you expected from a car this powerful, but the sound that followed was more of a soft hum. Along with it, the monitor came to life, a melodic tune playing as it did. A soft, robotic voice came from the monitor, causing a light smirk to lift Jay’s lips.
Finally, the car was ready, and it seemed like the racer was too.
Jay checked his seat adjustments one more time and shifted the gear into drive, keen eyes set on you. “Are you ready, lucky charm?”
The nickname sent a thrill down your spine, and you just wanted him to call you that over and over and over again. Instead of saying all of that though, you returned a smirk of your own, blood rushing in your ears. “Ready.”

jungwon wold definitely be over the moon to meet your parents. he asked about meeting them on your second date together, hinting that he wanted things between the two of you to work out. so here you were the next day, outside of your house.
the same could be said about your dad. he and jungwon instantly clicked over the dinner table when jungwon brought up some small talk about sports. that was the instant way to win your dads heart over. they even loved him so much, your mom offered for him to stay the night. how could he turn down an opportunity like that?

heeseung wouldn’t be as nervous and some of the other members. he had seen photos and videos of you and your parents and they had seen him on tv and everywhere on social media. when you told them you were dating heeseung, they quite literally begged to meet him.
heeseung tapped his foot nervously on the floor of the small cafe, waiting for you and your parents to arrive. he had made sure to get there earlier so the meeting wouldn’t be as awkward. a few minutes later, you stepped into the cafe, your parents following behind you with subtle smiles. heeseung ahead was full of thoughts, positive and negative. you instantly rushed up to him, engulfing him in a big hug before pecking his cheek and giving him a bright smile.
your mom followed you with a smile almost identical to yours while your dad just lingered around. he wasn’t going to deny that he thought heeseung was much more attractive in real life, which he brought up over a cup of coffee. your mother learnt that he knows how to cook, clean and pretty much do a lot of housework, meaning he would definitely be at your house alot. your dsd just seemed to take a liking to him, complimenting him about almost everything he did.

jay definitely calls you when he was on the way to your house, mumbling something about how worried he was. jay believed that he wasn’t going to be the best image of a boyfriend to your parents for some reason. that’s why he decided to make a quick stop at the grocery store, picking up some fresh flowers and a few small snacks that he knew you liked.
springing up out of bed at the sound of your front door being knocked on, you rushed down the stairs to reach the door before your parents. clearly, you weren’t fast enough. your mother let out a gasp, causing your heart to drop. surely jay wasn’t wearing something that would give the wrong impression. you stepped to the side next to your mom who instantly stepped forward, engulfing jay in a tight hug.
how did he know your mom loved tulips? weird. you raised your eyebrows at him before he was let go from the bone crushing hug.
“ is this your boyfriend?” your mother asked you, spinning around on her heel before lacing an arm around jays shoulder to pull him inside from the cold winter air outside. you nodded, smiling from the face jay had displayed (☺️ what a cutie)
“ welcome to the family jay” you whispered to him when your mother took the flowers off him, giving him the sweetest smile she could muster up before rushing off to find a vase for them.
jake
poor baby would be so so so worried. jake would constantly ask you if you were sure if your parents would like him which you answered yes to every single time. jake just couldn’t felt but to worry.
he wiped his shaky palms against his pants, waiting for somebody to come and open the front door of your house. was your door always this big? did you house always look so intimidating? it definitely didn’t look like this when he would pick you up, right? jake instantly pulled himself out of his thoughts when the front door opened, followed by a greeting.
jake bowed his head out of instinct, looking up to meet eyes with your dad. jake gulped, fiddling with his hands nervously until you popped your head out from behind your dad with a giddy smile. as if it was contagious, jake started to loosen up, smiling already. “ welcome, come in” your dad said, giving jake a very small but noticeable smile. your mom rushed out of the kitchen, towards you and jake who had lagged behind your dad who was headed to the living room.
“ welcome jake! we have heard so much about you. i’m glad we can finally meet you” your mom said, bowing her hair when jake turned around, only for him to stumble awkwardly and then do the same thing, pulling a giggle from both you and your mom.
sunghoon
sunghoon had not a single worry in his soul when walking you home from a date. the reason being was because he had no idea he was meeting your parents. to be fair, you didn’t know that he was meeting them either.
as the two of you stood infront of your front door, he leaned down to kiss you as a way of bidding goodbye. “ thanks for the date tonight, i really enjoyed it” he mumbled, staring down at you until his attention was brought to the front door of your house. your hands were in his so how could you open the-
“ ah! mom, y/n’s kissing their boyfriend!!!” your brother called out, instantly running away from the door at the sound of your moms voice. you turned around, still holding one of sunghoon hands in yours. he looked absolutely petrified. you giggled, poking his cheek before tugging him towards the door.
“ might aswell make a good first impression and fix it up hm?” you said, pulling him inside and closing the door behind him just as your dad walked out of the kitchen, followed by your mom. welp, this would be a fun story for the grandchildren.

this baby would be so whiny and pouty before meeting them, claiming they wouldn’t like him. that was until he met them. you’d say he liked them more than you if you knew any better!
sunoo whined, tugging on your arm as you pulled him out of your bedroom. “ please don’t make me do this!!” he whined, clicking his tongue when you turned around to stare at him. there was no way he would win with you. he sighed in defeat, stumbling down the stairs behind you as you walked towards the living room where your parents had just settled down from a day out.
“ mom, dad! sunoo is here” you said so casually, as if they already knew him. and to be fair, they did. he was all you talked about anyways. you could hear shuffling around before your mom met the two of you in the hallway. sunoo let go of your sleeve, bowing at her at almost a 90 degree angle…. yeah. he chuckled, bowing her head slightly back at him.
when sunoo stood back up, his whole face was a bright red, earning another giggle from you and your dad who had watched the whole thing from behind your mom. cute. “ let’s get you some water. you look very.. red” your dad teased, chuckling before patting him on the back and gesturing to the kitchen.

niki would probably be the most chill in the sense that he would relax around your parents depending on how much he thought they liked him. of course, it didn’t mean that he treated them like friends but he definitely wasn’t over formal * cough sunoo*
niki rang your doorbell, looking up at the ceiling over your front door before biting down on the inside of him cheek. he shuffled in his face, looking at the face that peeked through the door when it opened. “ hi, nice to meet you. i’m niki, y/n’s boyfriend” he blurted out, bowing slightly as the door opened wider, revealing you and the both of your parents staring at him. your mother was first to make a move, placing a hand in his shoulder.
“ come inside sweets, it’s cold out here huh.” she said, earning a small hum from niki. “ yeah it is pretty cold” he responded, glancing over at your dad who was almost his height. niki gave him a sweet smile and got one in return, making a sense on comfort fill his stomach. he was so glad that he already felt welcomed and accepted when though he had barely stepped into the house.
