December rolls around in a bluster of ice and biting cold, and both you and Jungkook layer up to the max for fear of getting ill. You deliver your messages at a steady jog so as to keep your blood flowing, hopping from foot to foot as you wait in line at the checkpoints. You haven’t seen Jimin at the Jung-gu gate since last month, but you do recognise the deep drawl of his partner Tae a couple of times, always ending his search with a snide remark as he sends you on your way. You smile to yourself beneath your mask as you go - if only he knew.

he’s talking. his voice sounds kind of distant to you at this point and you should really start feel bad at this point because he’s very obviously trying to keep you engaged in whatever he’s saying. your eyes, however, keep flickering left and right, checking your phone every now and then and nodding along distractedly to whatever he’s saying. he being mark, who happens to be taking this management course with you. and clearly, he’s planning on taking advantage of that to ignite whatever ‘flirtationship’ he was fighting his way for.
you very much were not interested though. to everyone around you, friends and all, you were a free lady, no guy hanging off your arm whenever you walked around campus. but behind closed doors, you very much had someone filling that special place. your phone dings and you immediately check your screen.
dinner at my place tonight?? :)
you sigh gently with a growing smile, and you think mark’s completely given up at this point as you type in a quick ‘see u then’ and press send.
turns out dinner means exactly what you thought it meant. delicious food, a good drink, and kisses that stole the breath right from you.
“jimin,” you sigh, palms rubbing up and down his firm torso as he leans down to once again capture your lips in his plump ones. ones you remember to have admired very inappropriately in every single lecture as he went on and on, while your mind was somewhat far elsewhere, daydreaming about your greek god of a professor who looked like the spitting image of a runway model. smooth jawline, pink plump lips, piercing eyes, a fit body and a strut to match.
“‘ve missed you,” he gently lays you back on the bed and you fall back with a giggle as he climbs on top, but not before reaching for the nape of his shirt and swiftly pulling it off. you allow your eyes to roam before he gets closer once again.
“missed you too,” you murmur just before his lips smother yours once again, more heated and quick, tongue immediately slipping out to taste yours as your legs part way to let him settle between them. you relish in it because it’s not always you get to have him so freely, you can’t flaunt him to your friends, you can’t walk around with him on campus, and so you pull him closer and hum into the deep kiss. hands mapping out skin and warm puffs of air leaving your lips every time he pulls away to catch a breath, your fingers drag through his dark hair as you press your chest up into his.
breaking contact, he pecks your lips once, twice, thrice before swiftly switching his kisses down to your neck as you feel your body melt into the softness of the mattress beneath you.
“jimin,” you murmur, a bit breathily with how he’s mouthing at your increasingly sensitive skin and he hums back. his hands slip under your shift swiftly and slowly make their up your torso, thumbs pushing up your bra just slightly and grazing the underside of your breasts.
“what time do you have class tomorrow?” he murmurs into your skin, nibbling with his teeth. your eyes flutter at that, legs wrapping around his slim waist and pulling him closer to you.
“i—“ you cut off with a gasp because his hips are grinding into you sensually, train of thought completely lost at the sparks of pleasure being ignited in your core as you’re now not even sure if you have classes at all tomorrow. “i-i—“ you rack your brain as you try to remember what day tomorrow is and try to visualize your damn schedule.
“no early classes,” it comes out with a whimper when one hand slips beneath your bra and flicks your nipple while grinding his hips down once more against you. your body feels like it’s on fire and you’re suffocating in your clothes.
“stay the night,” he says it as if you weren’t already planning to. “haven’t fucked you in so long, wanna make you feel good.”

I’m not sure if you wanted to know my full ramblings about this track but since you kindly sent in this ask and since Jimin has said
“I think it will be a fun experience to concentrate and listen to each (sound)”
I am going to take this opportunity and run with it. Since I love talking about Face. (This may be a long post)
There are so many interesting sounds in this track but I will mainly talk about the sounds that stuck out to me the most. And I will talk about them in the context of what Jimin said in the post that I linked above. He mentioned that he wanted an “emotional line” from Face-off to Like Crazy and to express happy and sad memories.
Disclaimer: These are all just my curiosities and will be all open-ended thoughts and imagery for fun.
Let's get it.
Sound: Rewind
Time: 0:00
Jimin has said that Face is about his feelings during 2020 in chronological order. This rewind sound at the beginning makes me curious to know at what point in 2020 did he start to feel the things he felt in Face-off, about the people around him? About the people, he thought he could trust and believe in. The ones who hurt him. Was this shortly after the pandemic started? Or right before when they were still active?
***I am not in the Face-off is a break-up song camp. This song, based on the lyrics and the vibe of the song sounds like he is speaking to all the fake bitches who hurt and used him. He wants to be cleansed of dem' demons. Get it outttt. Get it outtt***
Sound: Breath

The breathy sounds seem to me like the sounds of crying, sniffling sounds.
It’s interesting that this sound comes before the cheering and concert monologue. It’s possible that some of these sounds may not be in a particular order since Jimin said he wanted it to be a dream-like state. But, could it be a representation of some feelings that were creeping up at the beginning of 2020 while BTS was still active? Things that he wasn’t ready to deal with at the time? Facing one’s self.
If there is one thing I know for sure about the pandemic, is that when everything stopped in the world we all had to face a lot of things about ourselves at home. It was rough.
Sound: Something Dropping?

Warning: This curiosity is kind of out there.
The sound I clipped above, I don’t know if it’s difficult to hear, but to me it sounds like something dropping on the floor.
This sound happens right before the start of the car engine and driving away. As if something is being left behind?
Like the last time, you left work and then found out you wouldn’t be going to work the next day because the world was in chaos. 😣 Was that Jimin, the performer, being left behind?
Here’s a western thought. Let’s get a little crazier.
That sound also reminded me of the sound of gambling chips hitting the floor or table and one chip landing vertically and rolling. Which then reminded me of the proverb “Let the chips fall where they may.” Which could be used to say: to allow things to happen as they may without trying to change them.
Maybe finally allowing himself to feel all the emotions he may have been avoiding before the pandemic and allowing the process to play out? A feeling of letting go of all defenses so that you can face yourself? Again, a curiosity using a western phrase.
I don’t know, I don’t know. 🤷♀️ But it stood out to me and Jimin was right. This is a fun experience.
Sound: Pouring and Gulping a Drink

That emotional line that Jimin wanted to draw from Face-off to Like Crazy?
A job well done. Passed with flying colors if you ask me.
That pouring and drinking sound really wraps it up and transitions to Like Crazy very nicely.
When Suga asked Jimin on Suchwita if Jimin came up with the tracklist himself.
