no matter how many times you’ll get like this around him, he always seems surprised and will ask if you’re okay
cooing over you and babying you so much it makes everyone around you both sick
makes sure you’re drinking water or eating by bribing you with kisses and just smiles so adoringly when you announce that you finished the whole glass of water and are ready for your reward
eventually he catches you starting to doze off on his shoulder, arms wrapped tightly around his bicep as he chats softly with the person across from you both
he excuses himself quickly to usher you both home, where he’ll give you all the cuddles you could ever want

if you’re around other people, he will be so shy and probably ask if you want to leave because its just hard for him to handle you and control his darkening blush at the same time
if you’re alone he is soaking up all of the attention, absolutely ready to do anything you want and continually reminding you how pretty/beautiful/cute/sexy you are
if he’s also drunk then he just melts into the attention, encouraging you by asking for head scratches, laying in your lap, or falling asleep on your shoulder

he’s always worried about making you uncomfortable with initiating physical contact so for you to be the one initiating and doing so often, he is just ecstatic
if you get distracted or wonder away for a moment, he will subtly try to get your attention back and pretend that he’s surprised when you go back to clinging onto him
if you catch on to how much he’s liking the affection his ears will be red immediately as he drops his head into the crook of your neck to hide from your gaze, only giving you better access to pepper kisses against his cheek

I just read your last jongho headcanon and it's sooo adorable, I'm melting rn. I'd love a part 2 for that definitely. But my actual request is for another fluff headcanon of him, maybe about how he struggles a bit to show reader his love or shares his emotions, but eventually manages to find a way to do that because the reader makes him feel so comfortable and secure (if you like the idea of course, please don't feel pressure). There's absolutely no question that Jongho adores you.
He's completely and utterly in love with you.
Sometimes, he has a hard time showing you just how much.
When it comes to his feelings, he can't seem to find the right words to use, and he struggles with physical affection.
But you're patient with him, and he's so grateful for that because he truly would be lost without you.
You, on the other hand, have no issues showing or telling Jongho just how you feel about him, and sometimes he wishes he could be more like you in that aspect.
But what he doesn't know is how much you appreciate the silent way he takes care of you.
He may not always say it or show it physically with hugs and kisses, but it's in the little things he does for you that shows you just how much he cares.
He may not notice he's even doing it, but his silent way of loving you makes your heart absolutely melt.
And when you eventually point it out to him, he blushes oh so prettily, and his eyes go wide, making you giggle.
It makes him reflect on his time with you, and he realizes how right you are.
It also makes him realize that he wants to be able to express himself in the same ways you do to him.
So he makes it his mission to start being more forward with you.
It starts with more hugs.
He already loves hugging you, so adding more or longer hugs to his routine was an easy first step.
His next step was to kiss you more often.
Now Jongho's not a huge fan of PDA as he's a fairly private person (and hates to be at the butt end of his hyungs' jokes), but he's decided to act on his urges.
Whenever he feels the need to kiss you, whether it be on the cheek, the lips, your forehead, or literally any part of your body, he can reach he WILL kiss you.
You were slightly confused by the sudden increase in affection but decided not to question it as who wouldn't love more hugs and kisses from the one and only Choi Jongho?
For the final phase of his mission, Jongho decides he wants to start telling you just how much you mean to him.
The words of affirmation and compliments increase tenfold between you two, and he couldn't be happier about it.
Seeing you get all blushy from his words and practically melting at every one of his touches absolutely fills him with joy.
Like now, you two are cuddled up in your bed, you on his chest, one of his hands caressing your back, the other slowly dragging his fingers across your scalp.
Your eyes are closed in complete bliss, whatever movie you had wanted to show him completely forgotten as you practically purr in his hold.
Your attempt to nuzzle further into his chest makes him giggle, the sound breaking you out of your little trance.
"I don't know what has gotten into you lately, but I love it."
"What do you mean, Honeybee?"
"You've just been so affectionate lately. At first, I was surprised, but I'm definitely not complaining."
"Oh. . .well, you make me feel so loved I thought it only fair to return the favor."
At his hesitant response, you sit up to turn and look at him in concern, making him whine at the loss of the comfortable weight you provided.
"What do you mean return the favor? You know I love you just the way you are. You don't need to be loud and expressive for me to know that you care about me."
Jongho smiles at you as he reaches out and runs his fingers over your cheek, "I know my love, but I like being able to show you like how you show me. I like being able to finally tell you I love whenever I want. I thank my lucky stars every day that you were so patient with me."
"Jongho, I don't know what to say," you were absolutely stunned by his sudden confession.
"Don't say anything, just say you love me."
You blush ferociously as a slow dopey smile takes over your face and you can't help but giggle as you do as he says.
"I love you, Choi Jongho," you say as you lean in for a kiss
"And I love you, Honeybee," he replies as he meets your lips halfway.
