Also let's be perfectly clear here, when someone online is specifically talking about transmisogyny from the perspective of a transfem ("you need to treat us better"), and someone in the comments starts debating them and uses "bro" "dude" "my guy" etc. That is not an accident.
It is deliberate misgendering with an attempt to maintain plausible deniability. Both parties know damn well that it's misgendering, but the "bro"er gets to pretend they had no idea, they used it in a gender neutral way, blah blah blah, and then that can frame the transfem as whiny and rude, and often leads to them getting dogpiled and the message being lost.
My call to action is for you to pay attention to this; do NOT start the "guy is gender neutral though" debate on a post about transfeminism. DO say stuff like "OP is clearly transfem, you shouldn't use 'bro' when youre talking to a transfem you don't know". Shame people for this tactic. Share this.
