On April 7th, 1933, King Kong burst onto the silver screen! Without you, we wouldn't have many films we have today, so thank you sir. Thank you everyone that made your original film possible.
New York City; City of Ruin
Can you imagine how New York City must feel? Obliterated by asteroids. Swarmed by zombies. Vaporized by aliens. Infested by humanoid cockroaches. Ground Zero for the New World Order and Capital of the Kingdom of Earth. Devastated by giant monsters. Plagued with pterosaurs roosting at the Statue of Liberty. Frozen by flash ice ages. Crumbled by colossal tsunamis.
The toughest thing to kill on Earth is truly the New Yorker.
I've been reading the novel of Kotm, and I love Kong's reaction to Ghidorah's call. It's basically the equivalent to a politician giving a speech on TV, and Kong is just a tired rancher going, "Turn off that damn TV! All that yappin is drawing out the rattlers and coyotes!", as he loads his shotgun to fight off the skullcrawlers. Never change Kong, never change.
unfortunately for everyone following this account i watched the planet of the apes reboot trilogy recently and they’ve taken over my brain
rewatching dawn of the apes a few days ago totally ruined me honestly
enjoy some peter jackson king kong stuff too cause thats another ape movie I watched for the first time and also really fuckin liked. I did KK and PotA crossover doodles cause of course I did and the target audience is me and my one friend (he went as far as to actually figure out the logistics of the crossover based on my doodles and is also who got me to watch both ape movies)
I rewatched the 2005 King Kong because I remembered loving it as a kid. I cried twice and made a playlist based off the film so I could cry while listening to it. Anyway, here's some doodles.

I discovered your crossover art post with King Kong and Caesar from the Planet of the Apes Reboot movies and I love it so much. Do you plan on posting more artwork based on the concept of King Kong in the ape colony and how he's interacting with each member as well as how he's adjusting to living amongst his fellow apes because that's something I'm just dying to see.
I can’t promise anything in the future but I’d really love to! It’s a great concept, my friend @jojirarambles wrote a one shot about Kong and Ann Darrow reuniting in the AU, so if you want more content I’d recommend that.
