Kishu - Tumblr Posts
I feel like I've been rather inactive lately. I've been pretty busy with school, but things are slowing down after this week. Anyway, here's the girls doing their morning snuggle in the sun to let you know we're all still alive and well.
Well, her left ear is still a little weak, but they're pretty much up now!
Cosmia’s littermate! Practically twins.

Day 338 : Kishu
New blood - hopefully coming in February! :)
Hi everyone! Sorry for the inactivity as of late. Life caught up to me for a moment, and truthfully social media is at the bottom of my priority list, so I’ve been laying off while I catch up on other stuff.
Here’s a little photo update of the girls in the meantime. Cosmia’s getting sooo big and they’re both sweet as ever! I couldn’t have asked for better pups.
If anyone is interested in adopting a Kishu, this boy is available. He’s from the same litter as Cosmia’s sire, Shiro.
Kurogane (Kuro/Hakuro) is a young, male Kishu Ken in need of a new home.
He is a full brother to Fionna/Kaneko and Shirogane and will be 2 years old at the end of May. He is very enthusiastic, energetic, and athletic and needs a home that can give him the exercise and stimulation he needs. He was placed in his current home as a boar-hunting dog and he has some hunting trips under his belt. He, like many Kishu, would do best in an active home who likes the outdoors as much as he does.
Kuro may be a cat-chaser and not recommended for homes with cats, though he currently lives with a cat. He is also aggressive toward strange dogs, especially of the same sex. He currently lives with another dog and might be able to learn to live with another with the proper introductions.
I am requesting no homes with small children at this time.
Please PM me or email me at akiyama@kishu-ken.org for more information on Kuro.
He is in the Los Angeles area, but transport to other areas may be a possibility.
on the road w the girls~
My new boy! He may turn out to be a sashige or a very light sesame. I’m not sure yet.
I was visiting family in ND this weekend, and the girls and I spent an afternoon exploring my grandparents’ backyard-- the bluffs and riverbed of the Missouri River.
The girls had a blast, of course, and I brought my camera, so expect a steady stream of photos the next day or so.

I was sitting in the kitchen looking around for Cosmia... Turns out she was under my chair.
