Körangi eldritch horror au has been living rent free in my head for weeks.
König is a Cthulhu-like creature, and Horangi in a last desperate attempt to get rid of his debt summons him. What Horangi doesn’t know is that König is a higher being within the depth with a bunch of power, so this Eldritch creature is loving on him and showering him in love while also being a widely feared being.
König calls Horangi “Gemahlin” (translates to “wife”) and Horangi doesn’t understand what he’s calling him, but he assumes it’s a pet name. (Idea from: CaptainMJ on Ao3)
After Körangi have been together for around a year or so, Horangi decides to join the Military, but only because König joins with him. König has the ability to appear semi-human, but not fully so that’s why he wears the mask. In Königs human form his face is a pitch black void with many eyes, and he has three tongues, representing the Cthulhu part of him.
Horangi after being courted by König and becoming his genuine “Gemahlin” has an imprint on his ring finger that appears as if a tattooed on wedding ring, but in actuality is a Eldritch marking of territory. (So Horangi basically belongs to König)
König never socialize with anyone unless necessary, obviously excluding Horangi, he will use any excuse to talk to his beloved. Nobody on base knows or suspects their marriage or König not being human. Sure people make comments about his abnormal height but they know it’s not impossible to be abnormally tall. König puts up a shy front for people around their teammates but he lets go often during battle, hence why he’s so ruthless. König often brings Horangi away from gambling on base between missions, and Horangi is forever thankful for König.
Horangi calls König “여보” (pronounced ‘Yeobo’) which translates to “Darling” and König melts every time he calls him it.
When König is happy, he makes gargled noises and says weird Eldritch words that Horangi can only assume mean positive things.
By the time the two males(?) are retired they have two homes. One of them is a big house in the countryside of Germany. Their first choice was Australia, but Horangi was terrified of the thought of finding a huntsman spider in the house/around it. The other residence around them say they thought only Horangi lived in the house alone because there was no other sign of life besides him, but were all greatly surprised when Horangi brought König out with him one day to shop around the local market.
Their second house is a pocket area within the depth, a nice corner for them to enjoy themselves without the fear of anyone hearing them, or a place where König can feel extra comfort when required. The depth is a warm place for König, so when he’s in need for comfort he wraps himself in the smooth void of the depth and just floats. Forgetting all human issues.
Kissing is difficult when König is in his pure (and most comfortable) form, because he has the Cthulhu mouth, so either Horangi kisses the tentacles, or König wraps his tentacles around Horangi’s face and they kiss mouth-to-mouth, which is awkward.

It's official.... the first installment of Azrael's Wing is finished, and is scheduled to release tomorrow (2/9/2024) at 7pm EST. Azrael's Wing follows Hesh & Logan Walker, Simon Riley and Keegan Russ as they manage a town's worth of people within a collapsed government and economy. There are very familiar faces, Valeria, Alejandro, Rudy, the whole Ghost team, 141, and some Kortac members. (Phillip Graves is included in this list.) It is going to be a hefty read, definitely the darkest thing I've written by far, but I'm quite enjoying it! It is tagged as a dead dove: do not eat, because the triggers I listed on the preview/intro even though not thoroughly addressed, will be addressed in detail later on within the series.
I really hope you guys enjoy. As soon as I'm done with the first chapter of Azrael's Wing, I will start writing Valor Chronicles, which will just be the 141 as different supernatural creatures navigating their way around a very.... unique situation! König who freaks the hell out and is extremely embarrassed when Horangi’s fans start writing the most diabolical things about him and Horangi, thinking ‘of course, he’s in looooovvveee with this OC, let’s make them fuck’ or whatever
And Horangi who thinks it’s the funniest shit ever, like, he’s folding in half howling at these fics. (obviously he’s sending this to every one of KorTac’s members, PERSONALLY), they most likely all can’t sleep at night. No shame, none at all, he gets all cozy in his room and opens his laptop to open these fics and has AUDIO READING on these things, you can’t tell me he won’t play these things out loud.
Let’s not forget König who reads them, and honestly starts to wonder if some of these are college grad students, he’s in his room pondering some of these works, and Horangi who probably roots his fans on, commenting things like ‘OH MY GOD YESSSS YES YES YESSS’ anything to piss of König.
KorTac’s servers have been taken down so, so many times, why? The absolutely insane 70k word fanfictions he feels need to be appreciated more from a show no one has heard of before, (it’s a K-drama, it’s definitely a K-drama) Hutch is planing Horangi’s murder every minute.
Bonus: Horangi’s fans start noticing this one guy that’s always commenting ‘god dammit Horangi’ or ‘seriously I’m right here??’ So on so on, and they put two and two together and find out that König is in fact, a real person. (It only gets worse for him going forward, Horangi’s thrilled)

Horangi’s account name is so obvious. Everyone that knows him in real life just know it’s him when they see the name. He has no shame, he’s very proud of himself. He’s not in actual fandoms, he writes things for very small fandoms or he is the fandom of a very niche, unknown movie or series. But Horangi does write fics of people he knows in real life. Again, the man has no shame.
He loves a good ‘there was only one bed’, fucking loves modern or fantasy AUs (depends on the setting for the movie/series). He wrote a fantasy AU for a Sim household with sex pollen. He posted that shit on the official KorTac server and got an ear full when Hutch took it down (he read it, of course he did). He has made so many fics with König getting down with characters from his fandoms. König knows, he’s immune by this point.
König only has an AO3 because Horangi kept sending him the fics he had written about him from there. He finally just made one to make things easier and now he just critiques everything Horangi writes and gets into arguments with people in the comments. His user is Pillowcaseman or something like that.
König is not in any fandoms, he just reads whatever Horangi writes and then complains about it later. He will admit he likes the ‘fluff and smut’ tag but he will never admit that. König has read the most heinous fics and is just unable to stop reading them. He read the first fic Horangi sent him out of curiosity and was floored by what it was about. Now he feels the need to comment ‘I hate you’ on every fic involving him that Horangi has made.
Worst part is that some of Horangi’s fans are now making their own fics about König (who they are thoroughly convinced is an OC). He’s so mad that some of them are actually really good and he’s even more pissed about Horangi sharing them with everyone on KorTac. Hutch was the first to get them then he sends them out (he’s an accomplice who sternly believes ‘If I had to see it so do you’).
König will never write anything other than hate comments. But Horangi is convinced he can get him to write something. He just has to get him to his breaking point.
