mork says that she moved on so fast after they broke up and she did that after leaving her ex as well. porjai's been hurt over and over again in many ways but she always takes a deep breath and then keeps going with a smile and her head held high.

Day would have been so head over heels in love with Mork already had he been able to see the way Mork looked at him.
He is missing pivotal information because the sense that he's been relying on most does not work for him anymore.
He cannot see Mork both literally and figuratively yet because he's still mostly focused inward and backward. He will get there but he needs time to adjust his senses.
However, he will break Mork's heart and shatter all of his defenses on his road to him.
Mork vs August
Based on the limited information that we have on August so far I have some thoughts.
August seems like a self-centered, demanding, and impatient person. He's stubborn and will not hide his resentment if things don't go according to his plan. That's why he's not someone you can rely on in a difficult situation.
Mork is someone who used to be unreliable. He's trying so hard to do better because in his head his lack of responsibility leads to horrible consequences for the people he loves.
However, I feel like this moment is not so much about Day being in a love triangle, but rather about Day being forced to choose between his old life and his new one. He can hold onto his familiar past or let go of it and take a step towards the uncertain misty future.
Had he never lost his sight it would have probably taken Day quite a long time and suffering to let go of this crush. They might have even gotten together at some point, but he wouldn't have been happy, because August seems like a person who always puts himself first.
August is not the right person for him, because he will always make Day feel incomplete, while Mork will find joy in making him feel bigger than the whole sky.
2023 was the year of Mark Pakin and nobody can raise an objection to it.

The way Mork put Day's thumb on his lips, letting him know where they are, that he can kiss Mork if he wants to, giving Day the ability to take initiative, to lean in and kiss Mork, instead of constantly being on the receiving end, giving Day agency and letting him take the lead?

Honestly the only reason MorkDay have been anything close to a slow burn up till now is because Day cannot see the unhinged way Mork looks at him.
