Le Loup Au - Tumblr Posts

not sure if it counts as body horror but just in case! werewolf transformation ahead!

haha punch out werewolf au go brrrrrrrrrr
anyways, this is just a little experiment with Joe’s transformation sequence. I didn’t get to draw the final form because I lack the skill for today ;w; but one day,,,
I’m also experimenting with drawing Glass Joe! I’m slowly getting the hang of him.
For now this AU is called “Le Loup” and is just a basic werewolf AU. I’m still developing it at the moment but I really like the idea so far!

more Le Loup stuff! (Finally got to draw an actual werewolf Joe.)
Joke doodles below. 🥖

{ translations in case the text is too small to read: }
(1)
{ Glass Joe is sitting at a table drinking some coffee. In the distance, a full moon is slowly being revealed by two dark clouds. Joe says (in french): “I am almost 40 years old and I do not need this.” }
(2)
{ Von Kaiser is standing in his kitchen, seeing Glass Joe with a steak caught in his mouth and the refrigerator open. Von Kaiser is very confused as he says: “If you wanted steak, mein freund, I could have fixed some.” }

it’s feral joe posting hours 🐺
In the au, Joe isn’t a woobie like everyone thinks he is, especially after he’s first bitten. He’s nice, sure, but push his buttons way too much and he’ll tell you off. He doesn’t consider himself an angry person, but he will defend himself, damn it. Catch him the day before a full moon AND get him angry? He’ll go feral and take a chomp out of your hand. Joe can’t really control these short bursts of animalistic behavior, they’re activated by stress and anger, both enhanced by being a werewolf.
bonus sketch I just couldn’t finish due to time and uh…artblock?? idk lol

“french guy got into the ketchup again.” damn it Joe stay away from the ketchup.

so the minor circuit found out lolz
(i typed a huge long post with lore and all that but TUMBLR DIDN’T SAVE IT AS A DRAFT WHEN IT DIDN’T SEND and I’m not typing all that again lmao.)

The ghosts at the window echo all our quiet prayers
When they come for us, they’ll come with hammers and nails
My darling, the devil knows my name.
nothing to see here, just two old men in despair about what seems to be a hopeless situation. oh, yeah, one of them is a werewolf. one kinda likes the other 🤫
less serious doodle:

Joe does indeed bite….people he doesn’t like. Unfortunately one of those people is Aran Ryan. Aand for why Aran Ryan is here? He’s nosy and he found out about Joe being a werewolf pretty easily.

aaaand here’s the bastard antagonist of Le Loup! This is Terrance Rex Morrison, local seedy loan shark and werebat who has caught word of a local boxer apart of WVBA who has recently has become a werewolf. Perfect.
Rex isn’t exactly the nicest person, he’s snobby and mean. Every time you talk to him, he always has this malicious yet calm attitude to him. He’ll do anything to make money, and that means manipulating as many people as possible. It’s been a few years since he first transformed into his bat form. He had been kept by scientists for experimental cures for a few years, making him rather resentful of people. He was released when they realized that making a cure would be too cost-heavy.

(Rex in captivity, his 3rd transformation. Taken in 2019.)
Afterwards, Rex had escaped to the big apple in search of furthering research to help himself and others. Over time however…he began to feel himself gaining control over his creature form the more the transformations happened. He began to get delusional,believing that his situation was more of a blessing than a curse. Through his research, he discovered a plant that can temporarily control lycanthropy: Monkshood, also known as Wolfsbane.

Eventually, he gets to meet the so-called “new guy.” A guy named Joseph, a meek guy from France. Calls himself “Glass Joe.” Joe’s afraid of himself, and he doesn’t blame him, he used to be afraid too. He introduces Joe to Monkshood, Rex tells him it’ll solve all his problems. He’ll just need a…small fee. It’s not cheap to raise all these flowers, yknow?
What Rex neglects to tell Joe, however, is that Wolfsbane can make transformations and the beastly behaviors of lycanthropy worse if you stop taking it. Of course, that’s his business method, afterall. When Joe learns this, it’s already too late.

Eventually they get to have a… one vs one discussion about this.
